   The Presidential Succession Law of 1947 addressed the simultaneous disability of both the president and vice president. Under this law, here are the offices and current office holders who would become president should both the president and vice president be disabled. Remember, to assume the presidency, a person must also meet all the legal requirements to serve as president.

   1. Vice President of the United States
   2. Speaker of the House
   3. President pro Tempore of the Senate

   Secretaries of the president’s Cabinet now fill out the balance of list of succession:

   4. Secretary of State
   5. Secretary of the Treasury
   6. Secretary of Defense
   7. Attorney General
   8. Secretary of the Interior
   9. Secretary of Agriculture

    The Speaker of The House (currently Nancy Pelosi) takes over if this ever happens.

    Actually, the “order of succession” is already planned out if something should happen that ALL of Washington get killed in an atomic bomb or something.

    Given that, I figure that I am 150,314,535th in line to become President of The United States!

    Well it depends, in the case of the USA I wouldnt say Obama is running the country anway. It looks to us in the UK that the USA is run by clown – all we ever see is photos of him playng basket ball in the Oval Office, buying pets and going on chat shows. Does this man WANT to be taken seriously cos it looks to us that he’s having a laugh and playing about – the cat that got the cream!

    Besides, Al Quaeda is running the USA – look how much their actions have shaped the US constitution. All they need to do is continue scaring Americans further and the country will go on practically war offensive and alienate country’s further. Exactly what the terrorists want!
