Anyone who says that a tax cut must be paid for is either a blithering idiot or a college student
@JBBlitz in gutter
@manonthemount cheating ex, lol
In case you don’t want to see the entire video, Obama’s budget speech was another false ‘campaign promise’, meant to energize his progressive base, and keep them in the dark of what he’s really planning to do – agreeing with the opposition party.
if the president wants to talk about compassion, why doesn’t he start first by talking about repealing affirmative action laws that practice reverse discrimination towards qualified white people who are denied employment because of government mandated racial and gender quotas?
His off mic moment should have been made publicly. I dont get this dude. If you dont fucking like what their doing then fucking say it. Its not like either of their two plans really do anything major in getting us back on track.
75 tax for incomes over 500,000! Cut defense spending in half!
Seriously man, if Obama starts acting like a progressive again, and gets re-elected, then he goes back to his republican bowing ways… Needless to say, people are going to be plenty pissed. Almost feels like he is opening trying to con you, and you cannot do anything about it.
Fuck obama. hee clearly demonstrates in his speeches that he understands the will of and what is best for the american people.
Then, he clearly demonstrates in his actions that his allegiance lies with the plutocracy and the status quo.
Now, he’s going to fool voters into thinking that his second term is going to be any different than the rest of his career.
Obama is like a cheating ex promising that he’s a changed man
THIS IS THE I THINK I KNOW IT ALL COMMENT SPECIAL!! DAMN DEMOCRACY&REPUBLICAN SOCIALIST ASS WIPERS!! FUCK IT LET THESE BASTARDS SHUT THE WHOLE DAMN ECONOMY DOWN!!… YOU MOTHERFUCKERS HAVE BEEN RUNNING ON E AS IT IS.. OH YAAH YOU THINK OBAMY GONNA SAVE THE WHOLE DAMN WORLD?? THIS IS IT!! QUOTING THE LATE M.J WHEN I SAY THIS IS REALLY FUCKING IT…
@TheOkham Obama has the option to veto any legislation that comes across his desk. Moreover, his speeches have led to real policy; getting banks out of the student loan business, saving billions, applying restrictions to the way Wall St does business, especially with derivatives, protecting Americans from being raped by credit card companies usurious rates, allowing Americans with pre-existing conditions to get access to health care, drawing down 100,000 trioops from Iraq, …for openers.
WARNING. There are some right wingers who post on channels like this pretending to be progressives who are disappointed in President Obama. Be on the look out for those trolls. For the real progressives who want to see the President move on issues you are concerned about, you need to get active and involved with progressive organizations or start your own. Push the President in the direction he needs to go. Peacefully rise up and be heard.
President Obama has to see large, massive numbers of progressives collectively organized for the purpose of pushing him in the direction he needs to go. There are several progressive organizations and talk shows, but the only way their voices will be heard is when they come together as one collective mass movement that can not be ignored.
Progressives have to form a collective mass movement to make President Obama and the Democrats hold to what they say they are going to do. Progressives can’t totally blame the President, if all they do is sit on the sidelines and whine. If you want change you have to get active in large numbers that can’t be ignored. If the Tea Party can affect Republican politics, where in the hell are the progressives in large numbers when it comes to affecting Democrat politics?
@AmorBravo Cause he shits on Obama’s tax loving, success hating fuck ass. Obama needs a stake in his ass.
@ShadowCrashed81 I’ve tried to post the URL for the speech that I received from their enewsletter, but YouTube responded with an error. The Whitehouse.gov website has many links, one is “Winning the Future.” Good luck.
Does anyone know where I can find the speech?
@genrlcvr Pretty obvious ain’t it. people better put a stop to it. Revolution talk has cooled but nothing has changed . If Obama caves on SS or Medicare , it will come. We’ll see
@Textynn Yes, I would agree with that general framing of how this corrupt system works. When I say the rich may be deliberately bringing on a depression, I’m saying if that’s the case it’s not to destroy Obama or anything like that, but as a means to drive down workers’ wages drastically, and take total ownership of the little leftover they don’t own–to further the enslavement and desperation of the non-rich.
I think Pawlenty is correct – the president was not serious. He never is.
Hey Obama, you speak a good speech, but how about you fucking deliver?
@genrlcvr Well obviously the rich don’t want anything to work out for standing up to them and Obama is good for that, as well as, leaving the Pres election open for a grab from any of their loser team. but i think they actually want him to win or don’t care if he does. i think the coming election will be about brain washing and narrowing the conversation into black and white paradigms. Whoever wins from the two party charade is okay with the elite.
By the way, next time a Democratic legislator is on, I’d be interested to see how they would respond to that characterization. Something like, “doesn’t Obama tend to do the exact opposite of every policy position he states?” I think it’s interesting, because on one hand, they’re Democrats so they’d prefer not to attack the president, on the other hand, it’s obviously true.
OMG it’s candidate Obama again! I haven’t seen that guy since 2008. Not buying it, though, Obama has zero credibility at this point.
Cenk: “I listen to that speech, and I think that that’s a bold progressive vision…[etc]”
Dude, I’m sorry, but I don’t understand how you haven’t caught on yet. Obama is the master of delivering a rousing policy speech, and then delivering the exact opposite policy. The only reason for this speech is that he’s campaigning again.
@Textynn There’s that and just the fact that these kinds of draconian cutting policies, and the refusal to do massive _good_ policies like public works programs, at this time is very likely to flush the country down the drain. Like to Great Depression/ Third World status. I think that alone, apart from losing the base, will cause him to lose at least 75% of everyone as a whole. And it’s seeming more likely that’s where the country is headed, and this may be a _deliberate_ desire of the rich.
