@wdgeo i must say that i agree with you. obama blew it early on and he is as much to blame for not staying committed to his original proposal. well stated mate -cheers from san diego
@jeremyshambles Obama took single-payer off the table before the debate even began and then wouldn’t even push through a public option, which would have served to force companies to actually compete, so who is it that wants you to die slowly? You are right. The Republicans. Including Obama.
@jeremyshambles Once again Jeremy you misapprehend the situation. Many areas in the US are served by only one or two insurers and the price-fixing regulations which are on the books are not being enforced because the regulatory agencies have been captured by the industry long ago.
If a strong single -payer system had been put in place instead of letting the industry crooks maintain control, Americans would not let ANYONE take such a system away again!
…
that boner guy is a joke but tolerable but that mitch mcconnell looks like an old hag and has one foot in the grave…
@wdgeo “from some companies” well ol chap, shop around. it is an open market out there and that is a small percentage that you refer to. the bill is far from perfect but the alternative offered by the g o p was, die slow. nice group of fellows that lot.
@jeremyshambles Oh yeah, now we HAVE to carry insurance regardless the uncontrolled cost! No doubt the ONE provision that won’t be repealed.
@jeremyshambles Ah yes, the pre-existing conditions clauses. Well the adult version wouldn’t have kicked in until 2014 (WTF?) and there was absolutely NO LIMIT placed on what comapnies could charge for such coverage.
As for the “immediate” coverage for children with pre-existing conditions, this was countered by insane premiums from some companies while Wellpointe announced they would simply cease to provide coverage FOR ALL CHILDREN.
So, how did that reform ANYTHING?????
the girls necklace at 2:45 looks like it’s “choking” reid. LOL
@wdgeo interesting, you left out the provisions the health care bill created such as insurance not being denied due to pre-existing condition and young adults being allowed to stay on their parents insurance. i am sure it simply slipped your memory………not to mention that if you dont make hundreds of thousands a year, your taxes were reduced. eff trickle down economics, its bloody evil
That Chick have some HUGE ears!!! 5:08
After a ridiculously weak performance during the health care “reform” debate, which provide ZERO actual regulations on the industry, only a mandate that poor people buy insurance followed by a similarly non-reforming Financial Industry “REFORM” bill which left standing those “too big to fail” and failed to regulate the very mechanisms which caused the worldwide crash, I think it’s pretty obvious now that Barrack Obama is a corporatist Republican.
Obama’s agenda? I thought his agenda was completed, having fooled a large portion of the American electorate into thinking he was a Liberal/Progressive Democrat.
8 more years of voodoo economics, deregulation, corporate tax breaks, War with Iran, and another Patriot Act. Fuck republicans and Fuck the tea party.
its a Love/Hate relationship now in the House
