I donj’t support Duffy at all, but to be fair, he did say before your video cuts in that he had resigned his job when he decided to run for congress, and he campaigned for six months with no income. He’s had negative cash flow for six months…
Duffy, you heartless imbecile! Were you raised by Nazis? You voted to kill Medicare and give people who earn $1,000,000 or more a $200,000 tax break!!!
YOU WON’T BE RE-ELECTED.
like he’s the only one who has debts………fuck this guy.
I agree that it’s not that bad. Sean Duffy is a great man and Congressman who works FOR the people. He has great values. I believe he felt guilty and bombarded by this guy who was saying Congressional salaries are insane, and Sean was thinking of a quick way to defend himself so he thought bringing up all his debt would help. He should have just said he voted for cuts and ended it. Wasn’t the best explanation but give him a break…at least he doesn’t sleep w employees or vote for abortion!
What he said is no big deal. When I first read about it, I thought is was going to be a lot worse.
The United Way is good at raising money for people to keep their second homes. Maybe they can help out poor Sean Duffy!
And [Jesus] looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury. And He saw a certain poor widow putting in two small copper coins. And He said, “Truly I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all of them; for they all out of their surplus put into the offering; but she out of her poverty put in? all that she had to live on.”
It’s ironic because he certainly votes to cut welfare to others because they aren’t living within their means. What a piece of shit.
Why does he have six kids? There are almost 7 billion people on the earth as it is, and he puts six more on it? Six kids that he can’t support!?
What the hell does he have to offer children? His right-wing idiocy will do nothing more than put six tea-baggers in a country that wants the ones we’ve got already to go away.
People obviously have children without putting enough thought into it.
He doesn’t have enough money to pay his bills? Oh, he must be lazy. He wouldn’t have any problems whatsoever if he’d get off his lazy bum ass and start working.
So he wants help and cover but the unemployed and disappearing middle class deserve none? Fuck off, Mr. Duffy. A hypocrite deserves nothing but himself.
Always love how fair you are to people who you clearly disagree with, surely you mock them a bit (and they often deserve it). However, you’re never spiteful.
If a billionaire talk about his incredible excessive bills because he has 50,000 houses, bought 100,000 cars, and 25 jets, should I feel sad for him maybe to a point we all should donate him money so that he can live his incredibly expensive life?
This republican has only prove that he doesn’t know how to take care of his budget. Yet I bet he talk every day about being fiscally responsible. Why should anyone vote for him to listen to his BS? That should be the question.
Cry me a river dude!!! 174K is really upper upper middle-class!!!
so every video now is just a spam-athon of signing up for the premiere membership?
@BrotherAlpha
Think of the children!
They just HAVE to have new silverwear cutlery every day!
I’m sure if he’d give David Koch a stiffy, he’d get a big sloppy bonus.
Thanks Louis for mentioning the decision to have 6 kids. I’m really tired of the attitude that people who have kids are entitled to special treatment. We shouldn’t be subsidizing breeding or home ownership. The benefits of those activities go almost entirely to the parties who engage in them.
I think we should have a law that says congresspeople have to live on whatever the average salary is in their district. I think that would solve our jobless problem. Nafta and all that crap woudl be abolished overnight these politicians would straighten up real quick!
He gets paid more than enough for anyone to live on. And his debt is HIS PROBLEM. He CHOSE to have six kids. He chose to buy two houses. Goddam its basicly welfare he’s asking for! What happened to personal responsibility? I can’t beleive the nerve of this man where are all the tea party people who usually dominate these events and scream about out of control spending and welfare people? Why are they not calling him out?
His budget is none of my concern, whether he is in debt or not is his problem. As for his salary, well that is up for public debate – Is 174k to much for a congressman? If you want quality people then you need to pay a quality salary. So I think 174k is fine (just maybe he should not complain about it to people who make a lot less and are being squeezed)
How to reduce spending in DC: Reduce pay to the Speaker of the house to 120k USD, House and Senate Majority and Minority Leaders to 110k USD, and House/Senate members to 100k USD. Doing this will save over 35.8 Million dollars. That money can then be sent to schools. I win?
do i feel sorry for him? no he made the decision to have six kids and buy a second home and run his credit cards up to 50,000 dollars f him let him try and raise a family on 35 or 40k a year
Maybe he should cut spending in his private budget instead of demanding/wanting higher revenue.
Here is a novel idea. If money is so tight… his wife could always get a job. We seem to be forgetting in this dialog that most women work so regardless of how much he makes… there is a good chance she has an income as well. Even if she isn’t working, if things were so tight then she should work. Problem solved!
