Should President Obama have defended Biden’s description of the Tea Party Movement?
During his Iowa visit he was confronted by Tea Party members who objected to being labeled as terrorist during the debt debate by VP Biden. How should he have answered that question? Should he have said to them “The United States policy is not to negotiate with terrorists, now you need to stop talking with me you terrorist?” Should secret service have thrown that man in Gitmo?
Obama is a terrorist. He can collaborate with his own.
Being silent on the comment shows his support for Biden.
What did he say? “Who is Joe Biden, I don’t know him?”
That’s pretty severe. GITMO?
the tea party are terrorist. Why should he defend them from Biden.
‘acting like economic terrorists’ is not the same thing as being a terrorist. It’s equivilant to ‘if you’re not with us, you’re against us’ This doesn’t mean that people who oppose war in Iraq based on no evidence of WMD’s actually support terrorism or are terrorists.
*sigh* – I can remember when “terrorist”, “racist” and “socialist” were real words.
Now they are just mindless insults to be flung about by partisans.
No. They ACTED like terrorists.
How can you defend the indefensible? To call fellow citizens who are concerned about the fact that MediCare and Social Security are going to fail, if we do not get our financial house in order “terrorists” is either stupid or criminal. It reduces the terrible things that terrorists actually do to compare them to people who want the government to act responsibly, and are worried for their children’s future.
On the other hand, it is red meat to all of his unthinking supporters.. Luckily, due to his stupid incompetence, there are fewer and fewer everyday.
