Consider the Fed’s track record of delays and cost overruns in developing new technology like everything from the Navy’s 0 toilet seat to the billion B-2 bomber to the space shuttle. With the UAW having guaranteed jobs and retirement pensions, will the 2012 Obamamobile cost more than a house?

I heard September 24th and September 25th, President Obama is going to come to Pittsburgh. So what is going to happen? Is there going to be mobs of people downtown? I am worried because I heard the buses wont run and they will affect people getting to their jobs? How am I going to get to my job when there is going to be a lot of security blocking my building? The president is going to be doing a lecture there where I work in so what should I expect? And what exactly is a summit?

If Obama provided 0 million to stores (Target, Walmart, etc.) with the stipulation that they would increase salaries to at least /hr and hire more people that would allow for more spending to boost the economy.

It sounds great to support your local businesses but without jobs that is not possible. These small businesses don’t have the capacity to hire lots of employees; that is why I used Target as an example.

People keep saying to support small businesses and we need more money spent in this economy. We need to understand that small businesses won’t always hire many people and stores such as Target and Walmart have the capacity to hire many.

Also, without a job spending is not possible.

By giving money away (redistribution of wealth); Obama will create a vacuum of jobs thus attracting more immigrant workers. In order to solve the immigration problem, we need to get welfare Americans back to work. If welfare Americans would just take the jobs that those immigrants do, the immigrants will just go home. They’ll have no work.

From what I understand, a lot of people lose jobs and others gain them whenever there’s a new president. How can I get in on one of those newly opened jobs? The regular federal job process seems pretty long, painful and ineffective - should I apply directly with the Barack Obama campaign or something?
