I am a democrat and im jumping because Obama is goin got win and its because the people dont want another 4 years of Bush and low economy!

With all indicators saying the economy will start to bounce back within a year, and the gradual withdrawal from Iraq, the Dems. will be in pretty good shape in 2012. Like it or not, the Dems, will take credit for a better economy, and the pullout of Iraq. All the Dems will need to do is shore up the appearance of the deficit, and they will have a trifecta. This being said, what strategy will the GOP use to compete with this?

I personally don’t think either party has a real plan. We can’t stop being in debt until we become a producing country instead of a consumer credit economy. Our trade deficits with countries like China need to be changed somehow. If there is a Republican, or Democrat plan that I over looked please let me know.

Let’s say economy does not get much better in 4 years.

Who in the republican party would have the best chance of defeating the democrat for president in 4 years?

Obama , a Democrat if elected, will he be as bad for our economy as the Democratic controlled congress has been? There is NO DOUBT that the control change of of congress from republican to Democratic control has been bad for everyone but the big business and members f congress.

When Obama becomes president and fixes the problems Bush and his gang of merry men left behind, and the economy begins to grow again, how many neocons will say "It was really the policies of Bush that made the economy grow, not ‘Hussein’ Obama’s".

Additional question: Why are people online so stupid?

I’m not an Obama hater but I don’t really like his strategy. I mean, our nation is suffering from the economic recession and we are spending trillions of dollars on warfare = (. We should just end the war and use the money to restore our economy.

I’m just curious about what people think of his strategy.

Obama entered the White House in January with tough problems on his plate: the mortgage meltdown, the war in Iraq, a failing economy, etc. Please tell me your opinions.

If Obama provided 0 million to stores (Target, Walmart, etc.) with the stipulation that they would increase salaries to at least /hr and hire more people that would allow for more spending to boost the economy.

It sounds great to support your local businesses but without jobs that is not possible. These small businesses don’t have the capacity to hire lots of employees; that is why I used Target as an example.

What jobs should be created for everybody?
People keep saying to support small businesses and we need more money spent in this economy. We need to understand that small businesses won’t always hire many people and stores such as Target and Walmart have the capacity to hire many.

Also, without a job spending is not possible.

One trillion dollars in new federal spending to "stimulate" the economy and what do the American people get? more per month in their paycheck.

Putting more debt on the backs of my children is not my idea of stimulus Mr. Obama
