What exactly is a Democrat and Republican? and are big cities like NYC and Chicago mostly democratic?
Right now contractors are getting paid very well overseas. Will electing a Democrat to office hurt the contractors??
Im talking about the plumbers and other trades that are working over there…
Just wondering; It would seam that has become the norm, that is if I also vote along party lines.
Democrat desperation?
Obama said that his children should not benefit from Affirmative Action over a White person who is poor. So, he wants to change Affirmative Action so instead of being race & gender based, it woudl be based on your socio-economic back ground. This would benefit anyone economically disadvantage regardless of race or gender. Is he the first democrat to propose this? This sounds like a radically different idea than what we have now..
I’ve never heard any democrat come out and publicly say they’re opposed to illegal immigration. Actually, let me rephrase that. Democrats may say they’re opposed to illegal immigration but not one has ever done anything about it.
Does it not seem like this is a bizarre turn of events that this race for president of the United States between democrat Obama and republican McCain is even close? Does this not seem one of them should be down in the polls by at least 20 points to the other?
Are you questioning the the mental clarity of american voters and asking yourself "what is wrong with the people in this country"?????
Question for independents only: Would you ever knowingly voter for a Democrat or a Republican? Explain why or why not.
The Democrats that got elected based on the ending the Iraq War and pulling the troops out of the Middle East, have a rating that is below that of President Bush. Why would you vote for a Democrat who is running on the same premise?
"Moderate" Voters don’t have a major political party since we are ran by a two party system. And I’m starting to believe that there really isn’t a difference between a Republican who is pro-life and supports gay marriage and a Democrat who is fiscally conservative like the Blue Dog Coalition in the House.
If there isn’t really any difference and if Americans are increasingly progressive in social issues yet economically responsible (since our debt is so high), is the line between Democrat and Republican not very big?
What does the Democrat defeat in Massachusetts really means for the Obama administration? What is the message behind this?
