I am not a liberal. I am not a conservative. I am an independent. I am just wondering what happened to the democrat party in America. They used to stand for freedom. Now they stand for censorship through political correctness and support of the nanny state. Are the democrats slowly moving to the extreme left, as the republican party is moving to the extreme right? I believe that the United States is an overly conservative nation that needs to be moved to the left more, but in the right way. Political correctness is not the right way. Banning anything that is offensive is not the right way.

This is historical fact. Democrat controlled Illinois is doing it again. They’ve refused to send our military absentee ballots so they will not be able to vote in this election. Wraeth: Please read the news articles about Illinois and the Democrat Party controlled areas not sending military absentee ballots. Ballots are handled on a county level and the majority of the counties did send the military ballots out though several counties did not do this. Those happen to all be Democrat controlled counties, no surprise.
Cordelia: In Chicago/Illinois the Democrat Party does control ballots & all gov’t offices/employees: Park District, Forest Preserve districts, Tollway Authority, Enforcement agencies, etc., etc., etc. are Democrat controlled and actively work in the political sector to get out the Democrat Party vote. This is understood and normal in Illinois. If you are a gov’t employee you work for the Democrat Party. You campaign during paid work hours. Gov’t is the size it is for this reason. You may live in an ideal world though I live in Chicago & the Democrat Machine is Organized Crime/Mafia & they use our tax dollars for power & payoffs. This formula is now in the White House. Democrat Michelle Obama is a long time Connected Chicago family.
