How many conservatives on here believe Republican is synonymous with conservative?

I’ve heard them argue that Lincoln was a conservative because he was a republican! LOL

Presumably the slave owning southerners were bleeding heart liberals in their day.

Do you consider Democrats and Liberals to be the same or different? How about Republicans and Conservatives?

I ask because I see some questions and answers, and even on CNN and Fox News, that sometimes people put a very definitive line between liberals & democrats and between conservatives & republicans but others just think that left is left and right is right.

Do you think conservatives will ever realize that Sarah Palin actually cost them the election?

I have often wondered if John McCain blew the election on purpose.

He was way up on the polls until the economy tanked and he let Sarah Palin open her mouth. I bet if he had not nominated Palin as his VP pick, he would have won the election.

Do Yahoo Answers conservatives represent what is wrong with the conservative movement these days?

I have conservative friends, who are intelligent and respectful of people with different views. That is more than I can say for any of the Yahoo answers Neo conservatives. Why do these types of people show up in great numbers on this site? They certainly don’t represent conservatism in general.

Conservatives, with a growing nation a growing population, baby booms everywhere and a growing senior citizen population. Can’t forget the fact that people are living much longer today then in the past. How is it possible to reduce the government? Every tea party candidate and republicans never answer this. Not even Democrats. Nobody is.
