Sarah Palin in 2012? Do the Republicans want their own version of Walter Mondale?
I’m nοt a die hard Democrat οr die hard Obama supporter, аnd I’m nοt comparing Obama tο Ronald Reagan, bυt I don’t know hοw anyone саn seriously talk аbουt Sarah Palin running fοr president іn 2012, unless thе Republicans want tο dο whаt thе Democrats dіd іn 1984.
If уουr vice presidential nominee embarrases уουr party, уου don’t thеn nominate thеm tο bе president four years later.
It’s what they do.
You would have to question the Dems the same question.
Palin for some reason is very polarizing for some weird reason…. she was a centre-righter that often leaned more on Juneau democrats than her own party-.
No she probably won’t run, she could be competive in certain primaries but the GOP machine doesn’t like her- despite what party members reckon. They will pressure her not to, focus on getting some governers with excellent economic records in typical (rather than oil based) economies like Jon Huntsman, Mitch Daniels, she’ll try for Senate instead where she belongs.
The typical apologist explanation from the Republican is that the media tarnished her reputation from ever being recognized as a potentional VP. They fail to recognize that it really was Sarah Palin that caused her own undoing
Sarah America Palin is fantastic. She is Maggie Thatcher and Anny Oakley all in one.
She is not an embarrassment. If anyone is an embarrassment to the republican party, It’s RINO’s like McCain and turn coats like Arlen Specter and Colin Powell. Place her at the head of the ticket where she isn’t being told what to say (she didn’t agree with a lot of McCain’s thoughts) and she will shine just fine.
I don’t know why everyone thinks the conservative need to go left in order to win. It’s nonsense. McCain lost because he was a liberal. I didn’t vote for him. I went third party. I’m not voting for someone who belives in cap and trade, which will cripple our economy even more than it all ready is, based on a fairy tale that human beings can effect the weather.
I’m conservative and would not support a Palin presidential bid. But, she is not near the embarassment to her party that Mondale was to his.
i like sarah palin. and i will vote in the 2012 election. but it will all depend on who she runs against. for instance, if she runs against huckabee or jindal, no way am i gonna vote for her. i’ll vote for one of them. but if she’s running against, say, susan collins (also a republican woman), then i would certainly vote for palin.
i doubt she will really run though. the RNC knows that she’s too polarizing. you like her or you despise her.
If the Republicans are going to remain a viable political entity, they’ll have to find a more moderate leader who will accept the failures of the past 8 years and be able to attract more independent and female voters.

Me Personally, I would Not Vote for Palin if She were the ONLY Person On the Ballot. I would ” Write In ” for Humpty Dumpty,Bullwinkle, or a Red Brick. Any of which are Better Qualified and More Inteligent than Palin.
