Why would Ron Paul have made a good president?
I’m getting sick οf thе οthеr 2 candidates, аnd I noticed Ron Paul hаd a lot οf supporters. Unfortunately, thе media never talked аbουt hіm ѕο I hardly know anything аbουt hіm. I know hе іѕ out οf thе rасе, bυt whу wουld hе hаνе mаdе a ехсеllеnt president? Whаt wаѕ іt аbουt hіm thаt drew millions οf supporters? I’m јυѕt curious.
not unless congress was suddenly replaced with like-minded people……i liked ron paul, too. unfortunately, america is too brainwashed by either the right or the left…
Libertarianism is right-wing laissez faire capitalism in liberal clothing. If you reckon we have problems now due to deregulation, it would be far worse under a Libertarian administration. Deregulation and hands-off government is what they’re all about. Ron Paul as president would be a disaster.
He is a strict Constitutionalist, and special interest lobbyists don’t even bother him anymore due to his 20 year voting record of voting by the Constitution and for the individual American. He also answers questions directly, and lives and votes by his principles. For example, he qualified for matching funds, but didn’t take them because he wouldn’t run his campaign on ‘stolen money’. Another $35 million could have been useful to him, don’t you reckon? His son got a full paid scholarship, and Ron Paul paid the son’s way anyhow, because he could, so someone else could have the money. Compare that to Obama who paid off his student loans only the year before he ran for President. He voted against the Iraq war, and wouldn’t invade Iran either. He fought FISA, all versions of the Patriot Act, and the bailout, tooth and nail. (This is the Campaign For Liberty he founded which he used to rally opposition.) http://www.campaignforliberty.com/
He is a student of Austrian School economics who predicted our financial situation long ago, and was branded a kook for it.
You owe it to yourself to do your own research. He isn’t just ‘the best who was running’, he is revitalizing.

I know he would have been a fantastic President, if he was elected. You may not agree with everything he said, but he was certainly right when it comes to foreign policy, the economy, and our Rights.
He is merely one of the few people in Congress who has defended, and obeyed the Constitution, unlike Obama and McCain. If you would want more info, check out more here.
Lawyer X, you have been misinformed. Libertarians want to DOWNSIZE government, not increase it. Democrats are all about larger government.
He would make a excellent president because he bases his stances on positions based on what has happened in our country’s history. He is the one of the few that follows the ancient saying “We can learn a lot from history.”
Most current Americans don’t realize it but by following the supreme Law of the land, the U.S. Constitution, for the first approximately 130 years of its existence, America became the most prosperous nation on planet earth and at the same time offered individual freedoms, in the bill of rights, that the people from foreign lands had never had before.
This was accomplished without inflation { higher prices } using constitutionally mandated Gold and Silver as money. { sound money } In turn this caused countless millions to legally immigrate from every country on earth to seek a better life for themselves and their families in the USA.
Ron Paul, a student of the Constitution, understands this better than any other current politician and, in my opinion because of his very strong beliefs would make a much better President than any of the other current contenders.
He has not had media exposure because he alone dares to expose the core of the financial problems America is currently involved in, and huge money people are worried of this exposure.
Ron Paul has dropped out of the race, but there are other candidates
that is OTHER than Republican or Democrats.
Its about VOTING for the other than Democrat or Republican candidate,
that is a VOTE of NO-CONFIDENCE in the status-quo!
Can U dig it?
He would have made the best president since George Washington.
What gained so much support for Dr. Paul was his message of FREEDOM. The Democrat and Republican crime clubs continue to give us criminals who rob, cheat and swindle us, and ruin our freedom. Hearing an honest man speak about honest money and Constitutional government, freedom from excessive government, and an end to undeclared wars around the globe, was like a breath of fresh air.
man, if only the republican party nominated ron paul! he would be our saving grace. he’d win the election by a landslide, because, he who is knowledgeable about where your dollar is is the one that is most able to lead. at this time of massive crisis which is now going global since the us dollar and economy has ruled other country’s economies for so long, ron paul, with sound fiscal principles that he just won’t veer from because he is the most upstanding and honest patriot in congress (10 terms!), would have used what he knows by sitting on the financial committee of the house for so long now to probably, even by being in the run, have averted the bailout. he predicted this, and i, as a realtor for 25 years knew it had to be coming. franklin raines and jim johnson, who are on BHO’s financial committee, are criminals and caused the collapse of FANNIE MAE, which had been place into effect by FDR in the new deal because so many americans, in the depression (here we are going right into one now…it is so terrible!), lost their homes to robber gin runners like joe kennedy, who bought up houses on about a dime a dollar! ron paul WOULD NEVER have let a government sponsored agency so huge, and so crucial to our economy (one third of our GDP is all real estate related, reckon about it), get away with the shannigans that FANNIE MAE had, nor would he, as the president.
ron paul stands for what a republican SHOULD stand for: free trade, market economy, doing trade with all whilst keeping our nose out of their affairs (iraq and so on), small government and government by the states as is all outlined in the constitution. everything that he votes for (he votes in the house constantly, he is not bone idle) is solely based on the constitution, that most revered and envied document that has made the united states the land of the free, the courageous, and the proud.
just look at what’s coming to our country! the people have lost touch and knowledge even of what a “republic” is: it is the type of government best to produce a democracy because it is that which is made of the PEOPLE, and run by the PEOPLE, and it is for the PEOPLE.
when 911 happened, things started to change. our rights under the constitution are slowly being chipped away, but ron paul would not stand for it. what is going to happen to us? i may leave our country because it is so hideous how americans have no golden chance anymore (the corporations that got bailed out do) to work for themselves without government intervention and such high, high taxation. well, if we do not take in as much as we spend, of course the taxes must be increasingly higher, to fund FEDERAL programs run by people so detached from what they are running that nothing gets done right. just look at education!
oh! how i wish i could vote for ron paul and have my vote count. but it will not happen. he did not file to be a write in candidate, and in my state, if i wrote his name on the ballot, it would not be counted at all.
i disagree with another poster that ron paul is a libertarian: he is far more of a right republican than a libertarian. you should look up what the libertarian candidate is all about and then compare him to ron paul.
the sources mentioned by others are brilliant. and go to youtube and search for any speech that ron paul ever gave about anything. you’ll see why wall street absolutely loved him. he who can handle the economy is the best person to be the president. why did our forces over in iraq give ron paul more money than all the candidates combined? why did i dole out money to ron paul’s campaign that i really couldn’t afford? why can’t i afford it? because this economy is in the gutter, that’s why.
ron paul is going to continue to stand up in the house and speak out for our people to be the government. we ARE the government, and we ARE (per the us supreme court’s recent choice) the country’s militia!
the framers of the constitution were so wise. it’s incredible, the constitution. our 3-pronged governmental system is kept in check via the constitution (and bill of rights, of course, which are the amendments to the constitution). nobody could be anything like a king in american government: our founding fathers knew the distress with that.
i wish, i really do, that ron paul were running right now. the man is ACTIVE, he literally VOTES in congress. he does not take paid junkets to distant places under the guise of some summit meeting where he would really lay around on a beach drinking pina coladas that he did not pay for (but the lobbyists would). he has, all through his 10 terms in the house, given back a part of the money alloted to him to run his office to the treasury (is that honorable, or what?). there is so, so much for you to see about ron paul on, i’d say, youtube, because there you really see him speaking: he is so genuine, so sincere, so very honest, and so much of a patriot. and we need him now.
god bless america, the land that i like, but ma
Honesty, Constitutional based representation, fiscal responsibility, common sense foreign affairs policy & a 101% Constitutionally based congressional voting record to prove it!
Americans shot themselves in the foot on this election. Ron warned us all what was coming AND what to do about it. Too many Americans did not listen, now it’s here & we do not have his common sense & Austrian economics to cure the problem. Tragically, this is but just the beginning of Americas journey into sorrow.
Ron did NOT want to seek the presidential office when questioned to, but after our Libertarian party, independents & many repubs/dems practically begged him to do so, he stood up for the candidacy. He is 72 yrs of age & will not be seeking another chance due to his age
John McCain himself once said about Ron Paul…”He is the most honest man I have ever known”. We will all miss Ron for sure!
