The Roaring Twenties were an era dominated by Republican presidents: Warren Harding, Calvin Coolidge and Herbert Hoover (1920 to 1933).
Under their conservative economic philosophy of “leave it alone” markets were allowed to operate WITHOUT GOVERNMENT INTERFERENCE. Taxes and regulation were SLASHED DRAMATICALLY, monopolies were allowed to form, and inequality of wealth and income reached record levels.
This is what led to the GREAT DEPRESSION.

I love how she makes these huge claims like “a recent poll said somehow poorer people are benefiting more from Obama’s administration and blacks are benefiting more from the administration than whites” and then quickly says “BUT set that aside.” Blacks are on welfare on a greatly disproportional level then whites. Poor people and blacks would then logically benefit from welfare and socialized programs. Two words: dumb bitch.

@zenyork Hell everything is being looked at through the shallow lens of racism. Get into the education system you can’t escape everything being looked at through a race, gender and sexual preference lens. I spoke to some kids in our area talking about their? U.S. History course and they have spent almost half the course on the civil rights movement and the rest of the historical events were skimmed over through racial and gender lenses. What a shallow society we are.
@zenyork Income tax went against eveyr principle our nation stood for. Our founding fathers believed that we had property rights to our money thus an income tax was illegal.
BTW going to a FIAT currency and phasing out the gold standard went a long way to removing the property rights to money but I don’t claim to understand how.
