“When the resolution of enslaving America was formed in Fantastic Britain, the British Parliament was advised by an artful man, – who was governor of Pennsylvania, to disarm the people; that it was the best and most effectual way to enslave them; but that they should not do it openly, but weaken them, and let them sink gradually, by really disusing and neglecting the militia.” George Mason (speech in the Virginia Ratifying Convention, 14 June 1778)
I reckon we’ve seen some perfect examples of what Dr. Paul is saying about the UN in recent years, and even months, by what they’ve done to Afghanistan and Libya.
@frpetermark the 2nd amendment is so that when/if the government gets to huge and powerful over its own people, the people can overthrow the government and have a revolution,
As an Australian I find some aspects of American life hard to know, & as such I would appreciate some cogent explanation. For instance, the 2nd Amendment, viz the right to bear arms. Why is this such an issue with Americans? In Australia all firearms must be licenced, & then under strict criteria, & we seem to plod along alright without deranged high school students or disgruntled postal workers going nuts with a semi-automatic. Does Holy Writ not say, “those who live by the sword &c.”?
well lets hope once ron paul is (perhaps) elected that he will continue to fight as he has been and willing to risk assination when he doesnt comply with the nwo elitists. lets because you know they will try if he doesnt comply with their demands. lets hope he leads the ppl to rebel against the tyranny we are being subjected to currently.

@frpetermark They reckon the government is going to turn into a repressive dicatorship and view weapons as the only means to resist.
