How will Ron Paul’s trade policies help communites that were affected by unfair free trade?
Could someone explain the difference between Ron Paul’s policy on trade and the policies of other candidates.

I’ll address your mistaken belief that free trade is unfair:
Throughout all of history, it’s been show, that the MORE free trade you have, the more prosperity BOTH places enjoy.
Think about it; study history, and you will see that wealthy nations got that way by trading with other nations, and if you look, those other nations became wealthy too.
Imagine if you shut the borders of all the states in the US to trading with one another.
Do you honestly think that would be good for the economies of each state? It’s absurd, right?
It’s the same thing here. Protectionist policies always bring poverty. You have to look no further than North Korea, Cuba, and the old Soviet Union to see that.
It is all about free trade and free market (i.e. no restrictions on what can be traded…as long as it’s legal of course). However, trade agreements are not why I voted for him and became a delegate. His foreign and monetary policies are why i voted for Ron Paul….pull out the troops EVERYWHERE and STOP getting in peoples business to prevent future wars. We funded the same people in the 80′s we are fighting now. It’s time for non-interventionism (note…not isolationism). We have 600,000 troops in 130 countries. We spend $1 trillion annually OVERSEAS to maintain this empire. BRING THEM HOME NOW. Also, go ahead and get rid of the IRS, stop printing so much money, stop spending $500 billion than we take in and selling the debt to China, and try to back the dollar by SOMETHING.
Doesn’t matter he withdrew.
Here is a Ron Paul statement on trade:

He has said he doesn’t agree with out sourcing American jobs, and that’s why the neo-cons call him an isolationist unfairly,,,,he wants to restart the made in America theme of producing items right here in the USA instead of importing stuff manufactured outside the USA,,,at the expense of the American working classes.
