Do You Agree with Ron Paul? Does Donald Trump hosting a debate belittle the office of the Presidency?
Ron Paul іѕ joining Jon Huntsman іn thе growing list οf Republican presidential candidates whο аrе sitting out Newsmax’s December 27th debate hosted bу Donald Trump.
Thе selection οf a reality television personality tο host a presidential debate thаt voters nationwide wіll bе watching іѕ beneath thе office οf thе Presidency аnd flies іn thе face οf thаt office’s history аnd dignity,”
Dοеѕ Donald Trump hosting a debate belittle thе office οf thе Presidency?
No I do not. Trumpe was talking about running for president himself. And whats the matter with Paul. why does he care who hosts it as long as they can speak clearly.
Yes I really do agree with Ron Paul
It doesn’t belittle the race, but it is unnecessary and slightly comical that it’s to be on an obscure network.
While I’m not a Ron Paul supporter, yes I agree with this. Personally I see Donald Trump as a goof, and don’t have a lot of respect for him. And this is coming from a conservative who usually votes Republican.
Wow… that’s one.
No, Donald trump is a hard worker and fantastic american hero.
I can’t reckon of anyone better to host a debate.
These people are supposed to be running for the office of the Presidency, not trying to make a reality TV show.
I see their point, but I reckon Trump is smart, and a valuable asset. I like Perry so I am hoping he will accept Trump’s invite.
I agree. This is the Presidency of the United States, not Huge Brother or Survivor. Donald Trump is a Reality Show host (and a businessman). His only motives for this debate is to rake in some money from advertising and ratings. He’s going to let the candidates get up there and battle with each other, tearing each other down like a pack of savage animals for the entertainment of the people, not to determine who’s the best candidate for the presidency. It’s absolutely foolish if you question me.
It really is fascinating to hear libertarians of all people whining about others invoking their right to freedom of expression.
Paul makes Trump look chumpish while making him self look more presidential.
It was a excellent way to play the Trump.
Yes!
I agree. It’s just as terrible as Oprah using her TV show as a platform to endorse Obama.
If I was Paul’s advisor I would urge him to attend. I don’t want people thinking he needs a rest because he is ancient. Also, I would have him attacking the illegal immigrants huge time, since Romney and Gingrich both act like they want to cater to the illegals.
Amusing, they all met with the birther in chief, but they don’t want to show up for his new reality show, “So, you want to be the President.”
Ron Paul proves that he’s the only GOP candidate that makes any sense and is taking this race seriously. Donald Trump is just doing this for publicity. He’s giving himself a Christmas gift.
A small. Personally, I have no respect for Mr. Trump nor his business methods. Plus he has an ego that can fit in my sewage pit.
Another part of me is a small curious about the super wealthy position in this whole thing. Everybody seems to be carrying water for these folks and they have been extremely silent these last few years. Especially someone like the Donald who was born with a large silver spoon in his mouth!
Trump – Mr. Birther when it was fashionable just a few small weeks ago – should be questioning others on their suitability to be President?
I believe the main reason why a Republican Candidate would sit out this debate is that they have been compromised by the left. With Trump as the moderator he would not hand out any softball questions for the candidates to answer. They don’t want to insult Obama and I’ll bet that McCain will try and stop this, because that is the type of behavior that lost the election for the Republicans in 2008. You can blame the economy but I believe that the election was lost just because the Republicans didn’t go after the source. That source is now Obama and he should be place into his place.
‘
Donald Trump, Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, O.J. Simpson… what’s the difference? They’re free to express themselves, do X-rated vid’s, etc. But should a presidential candidate dignify such expression or participate?
…
If wonder if Trump will tell any of the candidates they are FIRED.
I agree with Ron Paul. The whole thought is bizarre
To a degree but it may have more to do with the fact that the republican party of Iowa was miffed that Trump was a no show for Iowa’s largest fundraiser of the year. Possibly a smart political go on Ron Paul’s part. See this:

I reckon it belittles the intelligence of the average American to participate in a forum in which there will be no equal opportunity to answer questions, Trump just admitted Ron had a zero chance, that should be a clue too everyone that all the focus will be given to Romney and Gingrich in the line of questioning, and I can assure you, the line of questioning is not going to reveal anything new, other than a new opportunity for someone to flip flop their positions and for Trump to cash in on a cabinet position by licking a few boots, He is just way underestimating Ron Paul and it’s backfiring on him, It would be a disgrace for the GOP to even consider taking part in this, and anyone who takes part will lose my consideration in the process.
