What do you think about Rick Santorum’s latest statement on abortion?
“Republican Rick Santorum says the Social Security system would be in much better shape if there were fewer abortions.”
“the reason it is in big trouble is that there aren’t enough workers to support retirees.”
He is saying not that abortion is wrong because it murders babies (a statement I disagree with, as I am pro-choice), but it is wrong because we need more low-income workers to support retirees on Social Security.

The social security system would be in better shape if it didn’t give monies to the rich and the rich payed taxes. to answer your question Rick S. should have an abortion before he gives an opinion on abortion to have first hand knowledge which is similar logic to his.
Not sure about abortion but I am convinced the democrats want to legalize millions of illegals so they will pay into SSI to keep it solvent. One reason anyway. My view on abortion is that if it must be legal it shouldn’t be performed after the heart beat can be detected. There should be no late term abortions. If that baby is able to live outside the mother’s womb, it should not be aborted.

Abortion is only part of our problems with Social Secrity. part of the problem is that The Demorcats don’t pay their share of taxes. And that the Democrats ever since LBJ have stolen the monies out of Social Security.
His statement is simply a conclusion reached with logical thinking. We abort around 4000 babies per day – adds up pretty quickly and leaves us with less citizens. We are dependent on citizens having jobs and paying taxes to keep the Social Security system solvent.
Less abortions in the 70′s and 80′s would mean more workers today.
