Recently Dennis Milligan, thе chairman οf thе Arkansas Republican Party, sounded pretty excited аbουt thе prospect οf domestic terrorism. Rick Santorum hаѕ echoed similar sentiments οn Hugh Hewitt’s radio ѕhοw.
Whу wουld thеу look forward tο thе death аnd drеаd caused bу terror attack?
Cουld a terror attack represent a political opportunity fοr thеѕе people?

Sorry, but the answer is no. We simply choose to do what is necessary to keep another terror attack from occurring instead of sticking our head in the sand and pretending like it’s an impossibility.
Recognizing the potential for an attack is much better than ignoring the risk, and dening the progresses made that has kept us from having another attack.
Well it’s not a matter of IF there will be another Terror attack on the USA it’s simply a matter of WHEN.
I doubt Mr Milligan or Mr Santorum really look forward to an attack but if when the next attack occurs and if it is before the 2008 Presidental Election then it’s terrible news for Democrats
who thye majority of Americans view as being weak on National Security issues. So yes it would represent a political opportunity for some politicians.

Because then this will help try to justify the war in Iraq and their whole “war on terror.” The Con’s basically just like military and war. They try to use the Dread tactic to accomplish their military goals.
They are so excited because they use dread as a weapon. The republicans continue to try and scare us and then they present themselves as the only ones that can save us. They are just trying to get elected again
I, for one, would rather be cognizant of people who want me and my family dead, people who despise my country for the sake of despise itself and to the on the lookout, so to speak, for such people. If you want to stick your head in your ass and look the other way, more power to ya. But, it’s because of people like Mr. Milligan that there have been no further attacks on US soil in 6 years. If we pretend that “it’s not that terrible”, that’s when it gets “that terrible”.
