@madmiguelh2o It is not restricted to the wars. The feds have been overspending, over borrowing for several decades on every program and every bill. Pork pork pork.
It makes no sense for anyone to pay more in taxes to the insatiable, money spending monster that the federal government has become. Do you doubt for one second that if the rich paid more in taxes that the feds would spend every dime of it and still go borrow yet more? It is what the feds do, it is what they have always done.

And why in the hell wouldn’t you want the top 1% paying the taxes they paid when our economy was doing well? that is going to cost us far more than any government aid to poor people. you know that.
@madmiguelh2o Nope, not even close to being a millionaire. I am not angry. I am scared actually. I know that if something is not done to dramatically curtail federal spending we will face a total economic collapse. I think we owe future generations a nation better then we have but alas, we have been in decline for decades. We are sticking it to the future generations.

@Maxwedge12000 Another thing, taxes for the top 1% were higher than they would be without the bush tax cut for them. before Reagan they would have been way higher. If they control the fucking federal govt like they obviously do then why am i supposed to feel bad that those spoiled bouguasie motherfuckers have to pay 39% when they make 25% and they represent 1% if that.

@madmiguelh2o Sure, the American voters gave the house back to the GOP and almost gave them the senate because they don’t like them. You use the word “redistributing the wealth” as if it were “distributed” in the first place. That’s just silly. The rich are already paying more then their fair share. The top 1% pay 39% of all federal income taxes, the top 25% pay 86% of all federal income tax and the top 50 % pay 97%. Time for the bottom 50% (deadbeats) to start paying their fair share.

Obama should have dealt with the cost of healthcare instead of trying to make sure everyone gets healthcare
@glisx2 From Jan. 2008 to Aug. 2009 obama had the 60 votes to end a filibuster. What was his excuse then? Obama said he would close Gitmo, end the wars, eliminate the tax cuts for the rich, insist on a public option, etc etc. Obama lied to you lefties from day one and HE is pissed at you. Dumbama has lost the center and is now in the process of losing his base. Who’s left to lose?

@PotholesInMyLawn I think the republic is best served when our reps stay true to their principals. The demos and the repubs really do disagree on damn near everything, as it should be. They simply do not agree on what is best for the republic so why should anyone support something they do not believe. I hate the term ‘bipartisanship” because to me, it means both parties joining forces to screw the American people.
