   He did not, that is a leftist lie. What he said was that he supported civil rights legislation except for the one clause that dictates to a business who they have to conduct business with. The left has put forth preventing Fat people from eating in fast food restaurants, took away smoking rights in ALL public locations, have fought against open carry laws in Starbucks, and they claim they are for civil rights. That too is a lie, they are just pretenders.

    Racist as in Affimative Action and Forced Busing?

    I didn’t get hired because of affirmative action and I lost my high school education because of forced busing, and now the entire Boston Public Schools are 86% black & hispanic, have been labled ‘Underperforming’ (including the elite Boston English), and four Boston Public Schools are designated ‘drop-out centers’, over 61% drop out of school.

    Are you even imagining that Affirmative Action and Forced Busing are not discriminatory or racist???

    I say this as a self-described Liberal, you are grossly distorting Rand Paul’s position.

    Rand Paul said that he is opposed to institutional racism and discrimination. He said that he supports the majority of the provisions of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

    However, because he is a Libertarian, he opposes and Government interference in how a privately-owned business is run. This doesn’t mean that he believes in discrimination, it means that he believes that discrimination and racism in private businesses should be eliminated through free market forces, not Government intervention.

    I disagree with this position, but I understand what he is actually saying. He’s not a racist, he’s not pro-discrimination.

    Rachel Maddow (the newswoman who interviewed Rand Paul about this) had the leader of the NAACP on her show yesterday to discuss the topic. He stated on camera that Rand is NOT RACIST. So everyone, please stop throwing that lie around.
