It would have been different, if this had happened during the LAST administration. There would have been an immediate denial from the "intelligence community", that believed there wasn’t really a plane. Then, they would have tortured some guys in Gitmo to see if they knew anything about a plane, the Justice Department would have place out a memo that speaking about planes over New York is now "unpatriotic", and then they would have started a war somewhere to push it off the front pages and make people forget about it!

Technically, it was the staff in the NYC mayors office that messed up.
They WERE told that this was going to take place and the idiots didn’t bother telling the Mayor.. who would have place a stop to it.
Caldera may have been incorrect for not realizing the impact.. but he DID tell the NYC officials.. who did nothing about it.
The way I see it.. Obama is off the hook on this one.
He’s already accepted Caldera’s resignation.
