Why are the Democrats celebrating the win in a 2 to1 Democrat registration district?
**********************************************************
Hmmm! The Democrats are celebrating their win in the 12th district of Pennsylvania where Democrat registrations outnumber Republican registrations by 2 to 1, while losing the other national contests. Why? Are they celebrating that because it is Bush’s fault or those pesky Tea Party people?
The Democrat lost in one race by a margin of an unprecedented 4 to 1 margin.
What do you think?

Burns should have lost by a landslide, but he didn’t. In fact, he led through exit polling until mid afternoon.
The PA Murtha open seat was won by a dem with 6 % points while that district has a ( 2 to 1 ) majority dem population. This means a huge % of dems didn’t vote dem. Every web news service is highlighting that the dems are in serious chit come November — nation wide. It’s not a case of a dem winnning, it’s a case of a totally controlled dem majority district, the dem that "did" win", barely did. Look at the sentiment nation wide where there isn’t a 2 to 1 advantage which is most of the country.
I am pretty sure it is because…to quote Republicans:
"PA-12 is the only district in the country that John Kerry won in 2004 but Barack Obama lost in 2008. It’s a natural test bed for the GOP’s electoral strategy before November. If the GOP can’t win in PA-12, its ability to take the House or even gain a significant number of seats outside its traditional strongholds will be seriously thrown into question."

"The House race features Republican Tim Burns against Democrat Mark Critz to fill out the final few months in the term of the late Democratic Rep. John Murtha. But the two national parties made it something more than that when they decided several weeks ago to invest heavily — roughly $1 million apiece independent of their candidates.
"This is the fall. This is where it happens," said Rep. Pete Sessions of Texas, chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee.

Over and over, the Republicans said that race was a true indicator. Those comments can’t be backed away from since they lost.
Because any political party celebrates when they win and many people were predicting the Republican candidate would win.
