Who will win the Republican nomination in the 2012 election and why?
I’m thinking thаt Sarah Palin, Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney, аnd maybe Bobby Jindal сουld аll bе contenders. Maybe even Michael Steele іf hе wanted tο.
Sο, whο′s уουr pick?

The Republican party has a strong tradition of nominating the "next person in line" each time. Your first three people could each make a case for being next in line, but I reckon Huckabee is the most likely to emerge. Many people simply have a strong dislike and distrust for Romney. As for Palin, she’s wildly well loved with the Republican "base," but I don’t reckon the party leaders have such a death wish that they’d nominate someone who is seen as a joke by the majority of voters (including me).
Sarah Palin. That’ll guarantee another 4 years for Obama
Romney probably ousted himself by delivering his absurd RNC speech. Palin is and always will be a retarded choice, and only is brought up because of polls of dumb Americans who probably don’t even remember any other (R) names from the 2008 election. She’s out for excellent. Huckabee is a serious contender and might still be around, and if Jindal wants to go forward, he can. Jindal is the most promising for the Republicans, from your list anyway.
Newt Gingrich because I believe him to be a right conservative and an American patriot.
Who: Romney
Why: Because Republicans never learn
Palin/Romney ’12 vs. THE Incumbents
Ron Paul. Not a neocon. We need fiscal conservatism like never before. And that lets more than a bit of your list out.
Romney would be a excellent choice, I could live with Huckabee. Huckabee is better positioned due to his show on Fox.
I am predicting that the Republican Nominee for President of the United States of America will be John Ellis Bush (who is also known as Jeb Bush). I hope that Jeb Bush not only runs in 2012 but wins, that way Americans who ere not fond of his brother George W. Bush can deal with another "President Bush" and know what its like to live in a country where you have to deal with the same leader or relatives of that leader for life.
Also, is Jeb Bush wins, Jeb, his brother George, his father George, and his Fantastic-Fantastic-Fantastic Uncle Franklin Pierce (14 President) would have all been the President of the United States of America.
I see no one in the wings that I could get excited about…..would rather see Obama re-elected to keep the circus going. Streets of New York are going to look like Israel/Gaza by 2012. Pass the ammo and stimulus check, please.
There won’t be one. The republican party is finished and will soon dissolve. It simply does not represent conservative values or even the best interests of the people they want to vote for them, anymore.
But neither will the democrats wield ultimate power. Instead, the US is preparing to severely limit the power of the federal government if not eliminate it outright. About half the states have passed resolutions defining their intent to do just that. Twice in the last year, an attempt to call a constitutional convention was made and nearly succeeded. If one is called, likely our constitution will be suspended and our federal government dissolved. It just isn’t doing its job, is the issue. The states will remain the main soveriegn entity and will either form a new republic or, if they can’t find common ground, split into two or more countries.
It is damn close to that right now. If Obama doesn’t immediately succeed (and his behavior is pathetic nearly as if he is trying to make things worse), it will happen.
There just isn’t any confidence in the federal government anymore and their power rests on nothing more than the willingness of people to cooperate with them most, if not all, of the time. That willingness is fading…..quick.

Too far away to tell.
Sarah Palin was such a disappointment to most everyone that I reckon it will take a long time before she can live that down. Maybe she can get enough experience under her belt & learn to appeal to the moderates more by 2016.
Huckabee because he is smart and backed by Chuck Norris. If not him, hopefully Paul of Giuliani.
Palin will be long forgotten by then. Only the morons will still favor her.
That election is so far off, people who have never shown up on the radar will take the lead by then.
