What is the Republican plan to get us out of debt? What is the Democrat plan to get us out of debt?
I personally don’t think either party has a real plan. We can’t stop being in debt until we become a producing country instead of a consumer credit economy. Our trade deficits with countries like China need to be changed somehow. If there is a Republican, or Democrat plan that I over looked please let me know.
Neither actually has any sort of a plan to reduce the debt.
Democrats are currently focused on ending the recession, Republicans are currently focused on opposing the Democrats.
Either way the national debt has and will remain for several generations.
Republicans — slash the budget down to the bone.
Democrats — spend us into oblivion.
Republicans will lower taxes for everyone, including the rich who hire the not so rich.
Democrats will print more money…thats their plan…change you can believe in.
Republican Plan: Get rid of Democrats and obstruct everything.
Democrat Plan: Get Rid of Republicans and spend like hell while in charge.
Both parties have the same plan and it is summd up by Homer Simpson when he was trapped at the bottom of a well.
"We’ll dig our way out!"
At least that’s been the policy for 6 straight administrations.
They both certainly spend…but it is easy to see who the big spenders are
The democrats are doing everything possible after the bush fiasco. The only thing the republicans are doing is widening the stall openings at the Minneapolis men’s room at the airport.
The Republican plan to start with is to stop Obama from Spending, then cut all unnecessary government programs, social or otherwise! Stop Spending $480 Billion a Year in Foreign Aide, and stop funding the World Food bank at $382 Billion a Year! …just starters!
Here are some of the Republican ideas as outlined by Representative Paul Ryan’s "Roadmap for America’s Future"

The Democrats have absolutely no plans to get out of debt as outlined by this chart of the White House’s prospective deficit from the budget proposed by Obama and approved by a democrat congress.

Come on. Lets call a spade a spade. When the conservatives were in they controlled everything and Bush did shove it in the lib’s face. They deserved it but the fact is they are getting revenge today. What many do not understand and should is that it is no longer rigtht vs left. It is about money. Hussein capitalized on it and stuffed it down our throat when he said to the 51% who pay little or no taxes, give me your vote and I will take from the rich and give it to you. However it has created a major backlash. I have joined a group of over 3000 employers starting from two in Februrary that are finding legal ways to replace the liberal worker with conservatives. Of course many are just moving their jobs to mexico. Either way the libs are not looking good. The unemployment is at a 25 year high and getting higher. The unemployed is becoming all liberals if the trend continues. 80% of the jobs are controlled by the rich and they will prove who is really in control and many of the liberals will become jobless. The libs are about to learn the hard way that it is not fair to tax tax tax. Those days are coming to a screeching hault.
The Republicans had proposed many plans. They where all, turned down, by the libs.
The libs plan is to spend spend spend.
I don’t know about you. But I would rather go, with the wealthy, who knows $$$. The libs, time & time again, have shown they don’t. Ovcouse… a reason why most of their supporters, are on government aid, in the first place.
1. lets see something that has worked for most if not all businesses is to cut back on spending when you are not making money.republicans are doing that.
2. spend spend spend
You’re right, neither party has a plan to get us out of debt. A good plan would be simply to get debt under control, to stop it from growing so quickly.
And there I give the Democrats more credit. For almost 30 years the Republicans talked tough about debt during election campaigns, but once in office they behaved as if debt simply didn’t matter. now they are (unsuccessfully) trying to reclaim the image as ‘The Party of Fiscal Responsibility’.
I think Obama is right to allow big deficits in the current circumstances. When things get better, he will throttle back on spending (I hope). Also remember the ONLY president since 1980 who actually worked to make govt. smaller, cut deficits, reduce spending, AND give the middle class a tax cut was a Democrat. He was the only president to send a budget back to Congress because he thought it was too big. He actually got us on track to a balanced budget, but when GW Bush came into office he couldn’t wait to undo all of Clinton’s good work.
We had a surplus when Clinton left office. Then Busch got in. He spent massive amounts of money on a war. At the same time he decided to give tax breaks to the wealthy. Then wall street came crashing down & he bailed them out. Not the people who lost their money, but the banks, meaning bankers. At this point I don’t think it’s a matter of getting out of debt. For now it is about making sure people have food, shelter, & medical care. It is about survival now, not getting out of debt.I don’t think you can look seriously at getting out of debt when people have lost pensions & retirement plans, their jobs, & the wealthy are enjoying the tax breaks that went into effect the last 8 years.
Both parties are controlled by the same globalists and bankers.
Their rhetoric to the American people may differ, but the actual policies will remain the same.
The globalists want to destroy the US dollar, in order to force the world onto their new global reserve currency. (most likely something like the new IMF "Special Drawing Rights").
Their puppets in government will stay in line until the job is done. That goes for Dems and Reps alike.
The banksters, in collusion with our government, have engineered this current crisis over the past 4 decades (since Nixon took us off the gold standard).
Now they are going to finish the job that NAFTA really started (or which the 1913 Fed Reserve Act started, I suppose)…
…and that is simply to crush American prosperity, consolidate industry into the hands of a few multinational corporations, and feed what’s left of the free market economy into their own coffers.
Their "solution" has been, and will remain, MORE DEBT, and of course, more power to the Federal Reserve, with no oversight. The Fed will keep trying to pump up more artificial bubbles, so the scams can continue for a little longer, while they sustain the whole bleeding machine by issuing as much new currency as possible.
This ensures that when the inevitable market correction DOES occur, it will be far worse than it would have otherwise been. And the Fed knows this perfectly well.
Put the fire out with gasoline.
It’s the old cast-iron life preserver.
Any moron on the street can now clearly see that this is being done on purpose. The only question is… is he willing to BELIEVE it???
The Fed is owned by private offshore banks. They have NO vested interest in protecting the US economy.
So you see, it doesn’t MATTER what the "Democrat" plan is, or what the "Republican" plan is. Because Congress has no say about our monetary policy. They are not even allowed to ASK the Fed what it is doing. And until recently, most of our elected representatives had no idea who was really running the show.
Our economy is completely at the mercy of the shareholders of the private Federal Reserve, many of whom are not even US citizens.
There is no longer any question about what their "plan" is.
Neither mainstream party has a prayer; they both conduct business the same way; writing checks a sane banker wouldn’t cash, and then cashing them themselves, perpetuating the cycle.
