What is a good thesis statement for a democrat vs a republican?

   The Civil War has had a few brief pauses but has never really ended.
   It has just been in a political ‘cold war’ phase for the last 143 years

   We should really call our nation "The Uncivilized States of America"
   because from the moment the American Civil War began
   there has really never been much unitedness about the states.

   9/11/01 to 9/18/01 (a week) was the last pause.

   I am a Democrat. I believe that the Government should make my decisions for me, pay for my mistakes and care for my children.

   I will support the Government with high taxes, and I will trust them.

   I am a Republican. I want to make my own decisions, pay for my own mistakes and care for my own children.

   I want taxes to be low, so I can decide what to do with my own money.

   I do not trust the government to make decisions for me.
