What are your predictions on the demise of the Democrat Party?

Sіnсе thе Progressives hаνе taken over thе Democrat Party аnd hаνе gotten ѕο far away frοm thеіr platform?
And ѕіnсе thеrе аrе ѕο many Socialists аnd Communists surrounding ουr chief executive, whаt аrе уουr predictions οf thе eventual outcome οf thе Democrat Party?

You can tell by some of your answers that the leftists leaning media controls the minds and beliefs of most in the USA.
They may even get more power because the of media misinformation / propaganda and succeed in shutting off conservative voices.
Who controls the media – leftist blog sites like media matters, Huffington post and Independent Media Institute. The MSM uses these leftist blogs for their information sources.
Who funds and controls these blog sites = George Soros and his Democracy Alliance.
These Billionaire Progressives control much of Washington D.C. with their operatives in high places, allowing the manipulation of laws that benefit themselves at taxpayer expense.

There is no "Democrat Party". There is, but, a Democratic Party and I don’t reckon it’s going anywhere anytime soon. I’m not sure how they’ve gotten away from their platform, either. The recession has made a lot of things hard, but don’t fool yourself: a Republican administration or a Republican-controlled Congress would also be having a lot of distress right now.
Your assertion that there are socialists and communists surrounding the President is absurd. My advice is to stop listening to talk radio.
I am so completely puzzled by your question…… you obviously watch fux news… haha
Isn’t it excellent to be a progressive thinker??? instead of getting stuck in one mindset?
Platforms change, and they change with what the people want (or should… but in the case of the republican party, they’ve completely gone off the deep end)
Why do all you people reckon that socialists and communists are the devil??
they’re just opposing viewpoints, and isn’t the whole point of this country to give a honest platform to opposing viewpoints so that we can take the best thoughts from all systems in order to make a more perfect union?
of course, your opinion of a "socialist" or a "communist" is probably anyone who doesn’t have the same opinions as you.
oh and newsflash: many of the systems in place that work very well in this country are SOCIALIST SYSTEMS… medicaid/medicare for example… of course, the republican party is responsible for its gutting, public schools, which also took a massive blow during the bush administration, the VA, which took a hit from Clinton but then took another hit from Bush….
my prediction for the Democratic Party??
they’ll be fine and dandy
the Republican party on the other hand. I reckon is going the way of the Whig
It has already started to disintegrate. They are jumping ship left and right. So many dread defeat in November they are distancing themselves from Obama. Check out today’s vote on unemployment extension. Many democrats voted against it out of dread it will bite them in the butt in November. Several long term members chose not to run in the fall and a few were dumped in the primaries. Reid and Boxer will most likely lose in the fall and the overall approval rating for congress is around 20-22%. The end is near.
It’s simply not going to happen. Here are a couple of reasons:
1. Our 2-party system has remained in tact for over 170 years. It’s not going anywhere…
2. Just look at history. There have been several cases where things seemed hopeless, but the underdog party finished up coming back. Look at the past 50 years. In 1964 the GOP tried running Goldwater for president. He was crushed in a landslide, and liberals swept in to office under LBJ. Then after Vietnam, Nixon came back in 1968. Then the GOP seemed unstoppable until Nixon got caught with Watergate. Then you had Carter (D). Even more recently you had Reagan/Bush Sr. (R), then Clinton (D), then W (R), and now Obama (D). Parties gain and lose popularity honestly regularly.
As for the bit about Progressives… What was the Democrats platform, and how exactly have the Progressives strayed from this?
As for the Communists… What about all of those "Socialist" policies that Republicans continue to support (like Social Security, Medicare, Public Schooling, and Bush’s $700 billion bailout for our financial giants…). Not all Socialism is evil. History has taught us that.
