Since the Majority of America is so happy with President Obama should we just skip the 2012 election?
We could really save the tax payers some cash, since we already know President Obama will win again.

That would be a great idea but we have a country that is held back at times by many things. Seriously, I wonder if we can pre-vote. I would vote early so he could stay focused. If we could get an overwhelming amount of people …actually we would have to get half the country to registar & vote early & get 51% for this to work. So we would have to wait until we knew how many people would be allowed to vote. Then get 51 percent & we could skip it. You’re a genius. Please send your idea to the President’s staff. We should also come up with an idea contest or forum or something. Dems don’t need to be paid we know the good we send out comes back but I wonder if there is something for good ideas like this. He will be re-elected but it will again be a fair election, in accordance with the Constitution and he will again win by a wide margin, with many Electoral College votes to spare.

No way is it a given, especially since his latest give-aways. His popularity is slipping, especially since many of his cabinet nominations have been less than candid about their taxes, their honesty, or their ability to conduct themselves to the task. Just look at the ceremony with Hillary looking such a fool. Why her staff could not get the right word is just beyond me. And although the gift was just symbolic, tell me that they could not have come up with something a little more eligant. That box with a button on it was a joke.
Doing away with all the excess give-aways would save a lot more than not holding the election in 2012.
And the stimulus has done nothing to prevent an ever growing crisis on the stock market.

If elections were held in 1864, during a civil war, I see no reason for postponing or canceling them in 2012. I shudder to think what catastrophe would have to occur to change the constitutional requirement that our leaders be re-elected periodically.
