How surreal is it to you that this presidential election between democrat obama & republican mccain is close?
Dοеѕ іt nοt seem lіkе thіѕ іѕ a bizarre turn οf events thаt thіѕ rасе fοr president οf thе United States between democrat Obama аnd republican McCain іѕ even close? Dοеѕ thіѕ nοt seem one οf thеm ѕhουld bе down іn thе polls bу аt lеаѕt 20 points tο thе οthеr?
Arе уου questioning thе thе mental clarity οf american voters аnd asking yourself "whаt іѕ incorrect wіth thе people іn thіѕ country"?????
No the polls only count land lines. I do agree that the American voter has questionalbe logic regarding elections. America for all its progress is a babe country with only 200 years of life. Most of the countries in this world are 1,000′s of years ancient and they vote on issues only.
Americans vote on if they like a candidate. How’s that possible when you don’t know these individuals on a personal level. We as humans have a behavior that we let the world see and we have a behavior that friends and family see. There are things we just don’t do in public. Its the things we do in private that really makes us likeable or not.
For example, we don’t know if McCain is kind and considerate of his help (maids, house boys, drivers, gardner etc.) but people say they like him and all they know is what he wants to tell you. We know he will lie he has repeated during this campaign. So if you say you like him then aren’t you in fact saying you like being lied to.
I believe there should be a go to have every citizen take a civics test before being able to vote. If you can’t past the test then you can’t vote. Voting is one of our civic responsibilities and many people treat it like a game. Then they complain about how terrible things are. We see that a President can impact our daily lives in the most negative of ways; Bush has shown us that. We hear time and again how McCain gets confused on issues, names and people. Yet republicans and the media still refer to him as a foreign policy expert. An expert would know who the President of Spain is and that Spain is a member of NATO, don’t you reckon.
The world looks on with horror while waiting for America to make the same mistakes all over again.
I’ve long since given up looking for rationality in the average American voter.

I’m not surprised at all. OK…we have a failing Republican administration. Ordinarily Democrats would have a strong election season with many Republicans crossing over, plus most of the Independents.
But, race is an issue. The controversial war is an issue. A female is on the ticket of the failing outgoing administration.
So…am I surprised that the race is this close? No…not at all. We’ve got fascinating variables at play. This is proving to be a very EXCEPTIONABLE election season. One of the most unique in this country’s history! Does anyone agree?

I know. When one of the candidates doesn’t know how many states are in the US or that Russia has veto power in the UN security council.. that should make people just a bit wary about voting for him. Shouldn’t anyone that clueless even be in the senate?
