How prevalent is racism in the Democrat party that they have to worry about it until after election day?
I keep seeing questions about race playing a role in the Presidential race. Republicans were not going to vote for Obama anyway, so that only leaves them worrying about their own constituents. So again, How prevalent is racism in the Democrat party that they have to worry about until after election day?

1st off let me just say I am an independent – I believe both parties are corrupt – and as far as racism or sexism, both parties have it. Looking back in history the KKK was a militant arm of the DNC. the Republican party fought to end slavery even through some militant forms of force (please Google Harper’s Ferry – John Brown’s attack). the Republicans voted to give women the right to vote – the Democrats voted against it.
That being said I think although things have improved with time – the less metropolitan states will have more DNC votes cast based on race making the difference – black for black and white for white. I also believe it will stem from older voters – not so much the younger college age voters.
I just want to add that I don’t believe racism is the biggest issue here. I believe that religion and the perception of religious beliefs will be Obama’s single greatest issue among the poorly educated and the misinformed. The far right-wing religious zealots and fanatics and the far left wing Anti-religion atheist hatemongers are the two groups tearing both the GOP and the DNC apart….. The DNC and GOP need to kick these idiots out and return to middle ground.
How prevalent is racism in the US? All PC bullsh!t aside, racism still runs rampant. The signs are more subtle now.

Racism is a big a problem as it has ever been. It’s alot less in the Democratic party than the general population, but there are still plenty around. I’d look at my own house (and mind) first before casting stones on others.
Racism is a two way street…….and just as how voting for a white guy because you are white makes you a racist…voting for a black man because you are a black man is equally racist.
I honestly don’t think there’s anything that can be done.
When Obama loses I suspect there will be rioting….but I hope I’m wrong. Why people think a US senator with a private beach in Hawaii somehow understands their struggle because of the color of his skin is ….well its laughable.
You obvious don’t live in this country if you think that racism exists only in the Democrat Party.

It’s rampant… that’s why the issue of race is only brought up by the DNC.
I think it is going to be more prevalent than polls or ppl think…you know the old saying a ‘yellow dog democrat’…well, I have some relatives that I have ALWAYS thought were…they are active in their local democratic pty, work the polls, actively campaign, and several have been mayors of their own small towns, etc….WELL..I thought I would drop over dead about this with a heart attack…but they ( and when I say they…I am talking about 12 ppl including spouses..and I am not sure about their kids, but I assume so too) are NOT voting for Obama..mostly cause of race. One of them told me that in his whole democratic club there is not one he can name that is…what does that tell you…??? And this is in the state of NJ….that is supposed to be ‘all sewn up’ for Obama…you mark my words…there will be a ‘november surprise’ for those that think he has it ‘IN THE BAG’
