How can someone claim to be saved yet still voted democrat?
I don’t understand this. Seriously. How can people claim to be saved Christians, yet they vote democrat? The democrat party goes against everything God stood for. Higher taxes, abortion, same sex marriage? I just don’t understand. There is this woman in my biology class who claims to be a Christian and votes democrats and I said "Uh, sorry to be the one to tell you, but you are not really saved".

You make claims against Democrats, but would Jesus really say tough to 47 Million uninsured Americans? Would Jesus favor unprovoked wars for profit? Would Jesus favor dropping high altitude bombs on the pregnant Women in Iraq and Afghanistan?

So you’re saying that God wants you to vote Republican? God supports, war, torture, the oppression of minorities and the bombing of children? Do you know how many wars have been fought where both sides were sure God supported them in slaughtering the other side? Why do so many Christians act like Jesus never existed? Did he preach violence and hatred? Not in the bible I read.

Christs message was one of love, and doing the best for all those around you, since we are all Gods children.
Republican policies have been associated with unnecessary murderous wars, hurting those around us by not being unwilling to pay taxes to help the poor and needy, and by bearing false witness about the crimes we have committed, some of which are in the name of God.
So voting Democrat doesnt stop you being saved. It depends on what your intentions are in your vote. God listens to your heart and your mind. God doesnt care who you vote for, as long as your intentions are those that Jesus taught – ie. love, forgiveness, tolerance, and above all, do not kill.
Sincere Christians who are American citizens try to decide political issues based on the best choices for the country. To suggest that this can be determined from the pulpit is diametrically opposed to the concept of separation of church and state. That’s a fundamental precept in the founding of this country.
The church should concentrate on the arena of sin. We have a country to run.
I have often wondered this myself. But now that I’m older I understand. There are a lot of people out there who call themselves Christians, actually go to church, know the Bible, speak the lingo, and believe that they are saved, but do not have Christ in their hearts and in the center of their lives. These people are the people in the book of Revelations that belong to the church that was "lukewarm" and because it was "lukewarm God spit it out of his mouth. Living in the times we are in there are a lot of "lukewarm" and even false christian churches around. So, it’s not surprising to find a Christian who is a democrat. Just tell them they need to take a closer walk with Jesus because when you are a Christian you love the things he loves and hate the things he hates. Then leave it at that.
You might as well ask why every Christian doesn’t have the same beliefs.
Democrats or Republicans or members of any other party for that matter do not always adhere to a single party viewpoint on every issue. People tend to vote on issues that are important to them, or vote against specific people, or blame a party for a particular state of affairs and vote against that party as a whole.
What I really wonder though is why you’re commenting on someone else’s state of grace when you don’t understand this issue.
