Does the Republican Party have a realistic chance of getting it together for the 2012 elections?
Do you think they will have a chance of nominating a candidate of defeating Obama? Right now, it seems as if there are a lot of conservatives who don’t like Obama and they are dissatisfied with the Republican party as well. What are the chances that those people will actually be satisfied with a Republican candidate?
FYI-I’m not a republican supporter. I’m just interested in hearing everyone’s opinions. Thanks in advance.
Honestly, I believe that Obama is self-destructing. He has made so many gross errors and then his fibs/lies whatever you want to call them are coming home to roost on a daily basis. His ignoring of our generals that needed answers much, much sooner than he provided them was a real turn off to many people. The Chicago Olympics action was obviously more important to Obama than our troops.
He just is not able to connect with the American people. It seemed like he was just what ‘we needed’ during the campaign but somehow his facade has slipped away – leaving a creature quite a few Americans just don’t recognize.
It seems like he has been able to make enemies out of so many groups so fast.. gun enthusiasts, religous people, small business owners, senior citizens, the armed forces…etc etc I can’t understand what he thinks he is doing bowing to other countries’ leaders?? It makes him look like a little kid that doesn’t know the protocol.
Then good old Nancy Pelosi is busily flying her 727 jet back and forth to WA DC to cost the taxpayers $440,000/per Month and calling for those same taxpayers to ‘lessen their carbon foot print’ . Somehow this is difficult for me to grasp??
Then have you noticed that the VP and O’s wife have pretty much disappeared? Apparently, they aren’t winning friends and influencing people as he would like?
I think all of this combined is very likely going to topple this regime.
They have the motivated voters, they just need a centrist candidate to also appeal to independents
right now the GOP is all about extremists, like Palin and Huckabee
Yes, just give obama all the rope he needs to hang himself and even the dems will vote Republican.
After Obama, Jeffery Dahmer would be an excellent candidate.
Obama is going down in the polls on a daily basis. Today 52% of Americans polled strongly disagree with the policies of this administration. I’m not sure it matters whether the GOP gets it together or not because the independents are strongly leaning conservative at this point. I think it could be a vote of rejection of the Democrats rather than an acceptance of a better replacement.
NO. thx 4 asking
My crystal ball has been misplaced.
But if you are looking for indicators, watch the 2010 results. If the teabaggers screw up what should be the GOP’s healthy prospects, then forget it. If however the Republicans are inclusive and win some tight districts, Obama will have something to worry about.
Yes the Republican party knows that they must get back to the conservative values that they have been so successful with before. I think that if they come up with a really strong conservative that the conservatives will come out of the wood work and defeat whatever the Democrats put out there. I think that Democrats and independents will also join in. The Republican party has some very good leaders that are conservative. I’m not going to name them but they are well known and we all know who they are and a couple of them scare the Liberals to death even though they will deny it or that there are any at all. History is going to repeat itself. I think we are going to see some very good things ahead for the Republican party.
