Do we need to switch to new political parties instead of new Democrat and Republican candidates?
Isn’t the Bipartisan establishment the real opposition, not Democrat vs Republican, but Bipartisan Wealthy vs the Masses of non-wealthy? When I say wealthy, I mean millionaires and billionaires. When we realize that both the Republican and Democrat parties are really against the working class, that is the day we switch to voting for other parties. Unfortunately, we are blinded to thinking it is US vs Them, insert whichever political party you are for. That is what they want you to think.

Probably, but it won’t happen until everyone reaches that conclusion themselves and agrees that they will support candidates that won’t have any support from the established political machinery in Washington, D.C.

Noam Chomsky would agree with that. Personally I think there is a vast chasm between the Republicans and Democrats and the battles between them are critical to our nations future. Don’t hold your breath waiting for other parties to gain political power. The Constitution makes it nearly impossible for such parties to win representation in Congress because of the single member district winner takes all system in the House. If you want to break the two party system, we need a constitutional amendment that would implement proportional representation, but I wouldn’t hold your breath waiting for that either.
Absolutely! The last time we had a non republican non democrat was our 13th president Millard Fillmore. Maybe it’s about time. I am more on the Conservative side.
I am disappointed the Dems didn’t show more aggression. Especially the way the Cons maligned so many of them. They were rude, crude and released countless lies.
The GOP scare tactics have this country confused and angry.
What Obama did was the right thing. In twenty years you’ll wonder how we lived without it.
The GOP keeps saying the Government will prohibit certain procedures, kill granny and give away free abortions.

I truly feel all that is coming down the pike for this nation goes to the very heart of each individual.
Party preference will be the very least of concerns. Life will change in this country to something we have never seen, experienced or dreamed it would one day happen here.
Every thing we have been taught, learned and understood to be the very foundation of this country is now in jeopardy. Every privilege and natural born right is in question.
Every part of freedom our forefathers have fought and died for, we have abused and taken for granted.
And above all, denied God, the Father of us all.
All down through history, we have seen great nations fall and we still do not learn. We were the last frontier, the last country to be discovered. America was the last chance to plant the seeds, care for and harvest God’s greatest gift to mankind, all over the world.
I beseech you please, let us come together! Not in party, religion, affiliation of any other than for the good of mankind. Let our hearts, minds and voices speak as one, united. "United we stand, divided we fall." We are the cause and effect of one another.

As far as I know, there are other parties available in US. Problem is, Dems and Reps are backed by corporations, the true power. The minor parties only justify Democracy.
