What was really going through his mind was, “I can’t believe my child parades around the house as a pink fairy. I should have had a son”……and well, the rest of the video makes sense now.
@Charissefg while I agree that yes, you could consider this a voluntary tax, there is nothing voluntary about wearing the seatbelt if it is law. But please do tell me where it is you live that emergency services do not show for accidents where the victims “were” wearing their seatbelt? Wearing a seatbelt is not going to prevent an accident and it certainly will not cost emergency services any less to show up at the scene and offer medical assistance.

@MyBlueberryKisses Seat belts are proven to save lives by not wearing a seat belt your increasing the risk of death so don’t say stupid things like its a win or lose situation
I lost my best friend many years ago because she did not wear a seat belt. Since then, I insist that my loved ones buckle up.

An earlier poster claimed this is all about making money out of seatbelt sales?? Ok so why haven’t they poured millions into this business if it’s about proffits only ? Human nature is flawed—look at the fools here taking the Piss–and for what? a few seconds of their life-to save that life.

@BritishBulldog341 We use what we have NOW–Beleive it, they ARE working on new ideas all the time–BUT, Look at the turd brained idiots on here moaning abour the ‘inconvenience’ of using a simple belt. Side impact bags are now standard–not perfect, but better than nothing. If you force drivers to comply with the law with heavy handed methods, they are accused of being nazi thugs, thats why THIS advert is popular, because it uses a more gentle persuasion by showing a POSITIVE side to usage.

Wear your seatbelt and you get to go home and see your family. This is a bloody clever advert in my opinion. I think the people who posted bad comments about the video probably didn’t properly understand the message it puts across. For those who said why did this win when we have talking meerkats and such things on T.V, the answer is simple. This inspiring video can save lives, whereas I highly doubt an animated meerkat can do the same.

This advert shows INCOMPITANCE OF TODAYS SOCIETY…what if you get hit from the side? your head goes through the windowshield or you break your neck.

I know someone who survived an accident by NOT wearing a seatbelt. It’s a win or a lose, you never know if it’s going to save you or kill you.
