Beck: Obama is no longer a “racist.” Maybe a heretic instead?
Glenn Beck has got a finger in the political winds realizing his accusation of President Obama being a “racist” isn’t too popular and is costing him huge advertising revenues due to a boycott against his show by somewhere between 100-300 companies. So he’ll retract his earlier statement but the man still hates Obama so is desperate for an equally devastating smear. Now he’s going against the president for being a bad Christian due to his belief in Black Liberation Theology. All it takes is a half-truth about Pope Benedict to pull it all off!
@genie0390 As I just mentioned to you in another YouTube comment, I’m reading “The Big Short”, a behind the scenes look at the sub-prime meltdown. Long story short, Solomon Brothers developed bonds for mortgages which were to make markets efficient and lower interest rates to the middle class. That good idea opened up Pandora’s Box in that it empowered scummy mortgage originators and Wall Streeters to pass on crap to naive investors. Incompetent AIG laundered this stuff as AAA rated bonds.
Beck the grand revisionist historian can’t make it five minutes with out getting something wrong or lying.The guy gives alcoholics and drug addicts a bad name.

So you’re trying to say that Clinton’s enhanced CRA, his mandating Fannie Mae to force bankers to stop redlining poor communities by loosening lending rules, Janet Reno threatening bankers with Federal prison terms unless they change lending rules, his deregulating banks allowing dealing in securites is not the cause of the meltdown?

@genie0390 The poor are covered by Medicaid. The elderly poor by Medicare. Isn’t the point to reach employees of small businesses, people with pre-existing conditions, etc? Even if it’s redistribution who benefits? Finding decent stats until the 2010 Census is compiled is tough but it’s pretty obvious more whites and Hispanics are on, say Food Stamps, than blacks. Ditto children in poverty. You’re confusing percent of population with actual numbers of poor.

the bailouts costing us the REAL monies are the blank checks to Fannie Mae and others that will be in the trillions, most of which to rescue mortgages to poor people who should not have been given loans
@genie0390 If President Obama harbors a resentment against whites “the size of a redwood log” it should be obvious enough to point out to me. Show it to me. Is his bailouts a sign of this? Is his universal health care efforts? Is his pulling our of Iraq and build-up in Afghanistan a sign of this? Victims of oppression don’t ask for “special” treatment. Only equal treatment and a correction of any past harm. Beck’s largely middle class white audience never experienced any of this so don’t care.
