You need to WRITE your representative and your senators. Write, not email. They pay small attention to emails because they’re so easily automated. Written letters they do take notice of.
Also, it doesn’t hurt to call. Frequently. Daily. A couple of times a day if you can.
And get involved in the campaigns of those who are running against them.

I am sorry, you do NOT have a CLUE what socialism is. I am most assuredly not a socialist, but I have spent my time studying history and politics. Communism, especially as practiced in such places as Russia, China, Cuba etc., is/was not ‘socialism.’ Pure socialism, as in point of fact can never exist beyond the point of bring a thought experiment as it does not take into account ordinary human nature and requires the creation of such imaginary things as "the New Soviet Man" which the Soviet Union spent 70 years trying to make and failed utterly. That is why it crumbled!
The thought of anyone being able to make an even kinda-sorta socialist state in America is and always has been a fairy tale told by demagogues and despise-mongers to frighten people who really should know better.
