The fact he’s a Muslim isn’t even relevant. He’s not connected to al Qaeda or the Taliban in any way, so why make such a big deal out of it?
I think it is a diplomatic startegy to enage with muslims on another field where everything is far more subtle. Its a strategy to change the ideas of defensive Americans and offensive muslims slowly but surely.
This is the way a war against terror should be commited.

Muslims may say or do anything deceptive during a time of jihad…war.
It wasn’t entirely Americans who were killed. There were people from over 90 different countries who were also killed and some of them were Muslims themselves.
Also, Iraq had nothing to do with what happened that day. Most of the hijackers came from Saudi Arabia so how come that country wasn’t invaded?
