People at my school are extremely frustrating. Everyone is saying Obama is a muslim, even though he has announced it NATIONALLY that he wasn’t. Today, I was arguing with this girl because she said that Obama was a muslim and he turns his back when we say the pledge. Seriously, if he actually did this, it would be political suicide….and if he even did(which he hasn’t) wouldn’t it have aired on the news?? He wouldn’t even be this far in the elections if this were true…..Is it just me, or do these ignorant comments annoy anyone else?

They very much annoy me. People are all too willing to completely ignore evidence and base their opinions solely on hearsay and fear and ignorance. They believe that just because they want to believe something, it is true.
I personally would not care if Obama was a Muslim, but unfortunately, in the state that this country is in, that would make it nigh impossible for him to even get on the ballot.
I am sick and tired of Americans being ignorant of other religions, cultures, and facts. In my opinion, you should never trust what anyone says to you about any political issue, and should always research it yourself, but unfortunately, it seems too many Americans are too lazy to do it these days.

It was the Star Bangled Banner that he did not stand at attention nor salute the flag.
It was put in the news but they did not seem to think it was that bad and he said that he was told that only the Pledge of Allegiance he had to do the placing his hand over his heart.

Yeah its very annoying when they say he’s muslim. Only his father and sister are muslim. People are just in denile because he’s different and America doesn’t want change. But the truth is we need change! He’s going to stop this war when the other candidates haven’t mentioned anything about.
The people that don’t like him are somewhat racist. I know some people don’t like him because he’s black. My opinion is that race, appearance, or gender doesn’t matter with elections. What really matters is what they are going to do for this country and how they are going to help.
Also just because he doesn’t say the plege doesn’t mean he is against America or is going to do anything bad. Those are his beliefs and no one should be in his business and telling him what to do.

He was there. He says he’ll ‘change’ things. So what did he ‘change’ while he was in Washington.
He’s your candidate. You obv want to vote for him. Isn’t this a little important? I’d like for you to tell me what he really is going to do. Because I pay a lot of taxes in this country and I want to know how you are going to insure everyone and have a government that buys $700 toilet seats for airplanes be able to run this large of an entitlement program.
No offense but when I was in school I didn’t have a real clue what is happening in the real world. When you pay 5-6 figure taxes come look me up.
i totally feel your frustration. i get emails everyday about how he is a muslim. But read his book(s), he states it clear that he is NOT a muslim. it annoys me that people actually believe these lies without REALLY looking them up, because yes, if you google "obama is a muslim" you WILL get stupid websites that say he is. people need to really learn how to find facts without just using Yahoo answers. I totally agree.
