Why do conservative Christians not condemn Rush Limbaugh, Ronald Reagan, and Newt Gingrich as adulterers?
Jesus οn multiple occasions condemns divorce аnd remarriage аѕ adultery. Aѕ opposed tο homosexuality whісh Jesus never directly addresses. Shouldn’t thеу bе condemned аѕ unapologetic sinners?
Mаrk 10:11
And hе saith unto thеm, Whosoever shall рlасе away hіѕ wife, аnd marry another, committeth adultery against hеr.
We’re not Jesus to condemn anyone.
Well the thing is the Bible says women are forbidden to divorce their husbands but the book doesn’t say anything about men divorcing their wives. Sexist, and racist religion.
Probably because having never read their court documents, I have no thought who
instigated their divorces…. Maybe their wives all divorced them. And, FYI, Ronald Reagan is no longer around here.
Died awhile back.
Well for one we do not know if they were responsible for their divorces, at least I do not.
Also, we do not know if they are unrepentant……do we?.
Immorality and Fornication, is addressed, as well as homosexuality in Romans( Homosexuality is considered immorality),and by God, in the Ancient Testament.
Also, you left out the part that allows for remarriage in the case of Adultery.
There are several ways to do so.Depends on WHO is at fault, and the status of the Adulterer.
GOD never meant for Divorce to be allowed, HE only allowed it because of the hardness of mens hearts.
In this day and age, anyone who would condemn a person for divorcing their spouse and remarrying would be considered more than a small unrealistic.
.
I don’t reckon any of them are/were really Christian.
Their “religion” seems to me to be one of convenience.
.
Because they would have to condemn Slick Willy Clinton, carbon footprint Gore and Barney Frank. They don’t want to do that to Democrats.
I really agree! Most people do not want to open their mind to this truth, because they are either in an adulterous union or know someone who is. Its crazy to me that christians will talk so poorly about gay people & they believe God doesn’t see their union when they marry, but yet they reckon God is in a re-”marriage”!?! They believe the gay couple must turn from their sin in order to be forgiven – what about the divorce & re-marriage?!? God HATES divorce! Some will say they repented, but don’t you have to TURN from your sin in order to be forgiven – that’s what the BIBLE says. Also, some say adultery is grounds for divorce??? REALLY!!! If people would study the historical truth – KJV, Greek & Hebrew they will see otherwise! “Til death do us part” by Joseph Webb & “Have you not read” by Casey Whitaker are two excellent reads on this subject. Not to mention the actual word of God! They try to use the verse you can place away for adultery…KJV uses the word fornication. Wouldn’t the word say ADULTERY – not fornication – two different words – two different meanings! People need to study the espousal period then that verse becomes clear. It just takes time – time to open the word, get to the historical truth & see for yourself. I am not trying to be mean, but what part of “LET NO MAN PUT ASUNDER” do they not know or how about when the bible says if the wife departs to remain unmarried or reconcile with her husband – it says NOTHING about re-marriage?
How about Romans 7:1-3 -
1Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth? 2For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. 3So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
It’s not my word. I am not the judge. It’s just written clearly in the bible – the vow is until death. Christians have the chance to study & get the biblical historical truth on this – not what some man or pastor says, but what the bible says. I hope they find this truth out & apply it. Many of them get the chance to hear this, but it’s their choice what they do with it.
Bro, use your brain..did they sin to us Christians? No! They sinned to God not to us, why would we condemn them?
I dont even agree with other Christians condemning other people for the terrible thing they have done, because clearly Jesus told us not to Judge.
