Newt met privately for over an hour with the leaders of the conservative grass roots alliance in Connecticut, comprised of Tea Party, 912ers, Independence Caucus and others. Also present were grass roots leaders from New Jersey, Long Island and other parts of New York State.

@OmarThePug That’s where Newt was. Cost the attendees nothing. The snacks were outrageously delicious. Connecticut tea partiers are extremely sophisticated, highly educated and motivated.
