@jim6700 well I don’t know if you know this, but comedians have political views too. You should check Conan, Colbert, Leno, and Stewart. They are all VERY political, and they make jokes all the time, and their beliefs/opinions are obvious by who they joke about, and how they joke about the person. But if? I get your logic right, one cannot be a comedian and also “purposely try to promote Obama”, right?? I wonder what you would say if Letterman did a joke on Obama’s car getting stuck in Ireland

@jim6700? hmmm, independent is an fascinating word. People tend to use it when they intentionally want to be vague, to keep others in the dark about their political views in order to appear neutral. Letterman is not a conservative, he doesn’t like conservatives.It is understandable that he ridicules conservatives when silly things happen to them. What is not so understandable is the fact that you are criticizing a late night comedian for the people he makes jokes about. Now THAT is amusing. haha.
