   The real question is who cares? People cheat and get divorced every second of everyday in the US, why should the politicians be any different. If you can do your job that’s all I care about.

    Newt Gingrich didn’t run for President this year and was not on any lists for VP. Edwards’ was. Newt’s affair is history. Edwards’ is current events.

    It seems so that a lot of people have conveniently forgotten Newt’s (and even McCain’s) adulterous affairs… Perosnally, I could care less if politicians cheat on their spouses because I would rather spend my time on real issues… BUT people need to remember the adage “Don’t throw rocks if you live in a glass house….” and considering how stats show that up to 65% of marriages have experienced adultery then I would guess that a LOT of these people throwing rocks have cheated themselves.

    I certainly hope not. And John Edwards, as far as we know, isn’t going to leave his wife, as Newt Gingrich or John McCain did. But there’s another presidential candidate who left his first wife for his second and his second for his third. Bob Barr (also of Georgia), former Congressman, former Clinton witch-hunter is running as a Libertarian.
