How on earth is Mitt Romney the “front runner”?
I keep seeing thе media calling hіm thе front runner. Yеt I don’t rесkοn I personally know a single supporter οf hіѕ. Dοеѕ anyone know whаt thе heck hе stands fοr οr hοw hе wουld govern? Whаt’s thе appeal?

I agree. Many reckon he can beat Obama because Obama is a failure, but Romney isn’t too different. They’re both phony politicians.
In the polls, he is the front runner for the Republican nomination.
He stated much of what you questioned last night. I don’t reckon there is a “front runner” yet. Not all the cards are on the table.
Look at the 2008 GOP nomination race. He was the second most well loved candidate but was considered too far to the right by many in the GOP, which is why McCain took it. Now he is considered too far to the left by many, even though he has flip flopped and recanted much of what he said in 2008.
Maybe they mean all Americans and not just Republicans.
He’s the only GOP contender who doesn’t offend the moderate majority by imposing social conservatism on the general population. That may lose him the primary, but it makes him the only electable Republican in the general election. Don’t get me incorrect; he;’s socially conservative. But you don’t see him trying to “pray the gay away” or holding a “day of prayer” to address the economy. He’s a businessman. While I am on the left I have to admit: he would bring stability to the markets.
