How Damaging Will RomneyCare Be to Mitt Romney’s Potential Presidential Campaign?
Today, Mitt Romney announced the formation of a presidential exploratory committee. So, if Romney runs, how damaging will the Massachusetts health care reform law be to his campaign? The Special Report panel weighs in. For more from the Fox News Insider, check out www.foxnewsinsider.com.
Huckabee is out of the mix, he just said he’s not running. Theoretically, that’s puts Romney as front runner
Romney is head and shoulders the best. It is not even close. No one has the accomplishments. Perhaps a civics class could help people understand how due process works for people in office. Romney care was not written by Mitt, he vetoed many times. Charles, is not the sharpest tool on the panel
Christie/Ryan does sound pretty good!
Donald Trump 2012
I don’t think Mitt Romney learned from the last national election on how to speak to the American people and win over majority independent support. Romneycare is a disaster in people’s eyes and is as unpopular as Obamacare. He’d better think of a new strategy to appeal to voters or he is going to be dropping in the polls fast. Mike Huckabee seems to be the best candidate (or Ron Paul) in beating Obama. Bill Kristol needs to get off the idea of Paul Ryan running because it won’t happen.
Romney doesn’t feel genuine to me…. he’s like the Republican John Kerry, flip-flopping and saying anything that helps him get elected. Plus, he looks like a CEO with a pole up his ass – that’s not going to be beat Obama, who is still percieved as being cool.
Sorry, Mitt, but RomneyCare did you in!
Romney care doesn’t matter, Romney couldn’t win any way.
@electango Yeah, unfortunately, I tend to agree with you. Although he is charismatic, Romney is a bit cold and aloof.
Obamacare will not be off the table in 2012 if Romney wins. Romneycare will be off the table for democrats however. Obamacare will very much be on the table for Mitt Romney in 2012. Romneycare is an example of how healthcare should be handled. At the State Level and on a bi-partisan basis with wide bi-partisan support. Obamacare is the complete opposite of that. The economy will the number one issue in 2012, not Massachusetts healthcare.
Wow, nice poll… no Ron Paul on there…
@USA4July1776 Romney should not be the nominee because he can’t beat Obama. The nominee must be a person who can beat Obama. That means Huckabee or Trump. Sure Romney has a great resume, but he doesn’t know how to talk to the American people. He’s a man of great accomplishment and probably would be a huge upgrade over Obama, but personality wise he’s a dud.
@gonadcancervictim Like all politicians, Romney has no fixed principles. He was a liberal Republican as Massachusetts governor and now that he wants the nomination he’s moving to the right. What does he really think? He thinks he wants to be President.
Too bad about RomneyCare… because otherwise, Romney is pretty much the perfect candidate. He looks like he was computer engineered for the job.
Number one in his law school & MBA classes at Harvard (by-the-way, that’s an amazing feat), picture-perfect family, successful entrepreneur and self-made gazillionaire, Republican governor of a communist enclave (Massachussets), saved the Salt Lake City Olympics and made them a security success on the heels of the 9/11 terror attacks…
I’m mitt romney I spoke to a number of children today and told them about my agreement with obama on taxing energy in the name of global warming so that my fellow politicians can get a cut of something every american has to pay for.
I also was for abortion before I was against it. Just like I was for romneycare so the people of massachusets dont feel like they should go to college to be able to get a career that provides health benefits for their children.
