Do you think that Mitt Romney is to intelligent and sophisticated to get the Repub nomination?
He is highly intelligent, well-educated, an excellent speaker and sophisticated. Can a party that nominated the good ole boy W. Bush who can barely speak English actually nominate someone with brains?
With friends like you Romney would need no enemies.
Such a argument is no help to your choice in candidates.
(I may support Romney yet I have not fully decided).
no, but he is too goodlooking.
no I think he’s too apathetic.
Look how he ignored Massachusetts through most of 2006 when he should have been serving as governor, in order to start getting his name out there for the Presidential nomination.
If Bush ignored domestic needs during his 2 terms, I shudder at the thought of how Romney will also ignore them.
Well he’s certainly RICH enough. And conservative enough, which was Bush’s appeal. Not sure that a Mormon can make it however. Anyhow, my vote goes to Obama.
I think that with many Republicans being pragmatic idealists, they will want to avoid Romney due to the fact that he is Mormon. Nonetheless, they will look at McCain and see someone who has lost all steam as a candidate, and with Giuliani they will see an Italian Catholic twice-divorcee.
Indeed, on the topic of marriage, it should be remembered that Romney is the only one out of the three to actually remain married to his first and only wife!
Romney IS the Rep nominee, short of a massive guffaw on his part.
Nice Hair.
Most women voters, vote with their hormones, sorry to say and then justify it with something else. And the man has a wife with a whole bunch of kids!!!
Intelligent and sophisticated? This only tells me that he has skeletons up his yang yang in his closet. He has too much money to be that impeccable!
I haven’t heard enough social concerns for the little people from him. Meaning to me that, he has ……..
“his mind on his money and his money on his mind”
Has more to do with connections and money than personality. Whose ass is he will to kiss, Dubya kisses all the right ones.
I think he’s worth considering. He is extremely intellegent and knowledgeable and being Mormon shouldn’t be considered a negative. Past history shows former state governors make excellent presidents. Fred Thompson, former senator from Tenn. and actor (remember Ron Reagan) is worth watching, too.
Ron Paul 08
his voting record speaks for its self
Romney is not conservative enough for me, I am thinking he will turn out more like Bush than Reagan
apparently iowa thinks so
