The blame fr the phrase ” Under God” lies with Dwight David Eisenhower alone.
Before his presidency those words were not in the Pledge of Allegiance which is a loyalty oath no loyal American should ever have to take. It’s like the oath people had to take during and after the McCarthy witch hunt of the nineteen fifties and I had to sign to get a job with the DOC back in the late sixties.This was back before I became aware of the total hypocrisy of our system of government.
