    It wasn’t two people killing tens of millions of people. That is impossible. It is the system of ideology that facilitated such massacre. The thought in those societies is that there is no God, and all providence belongs to the state. There is no room for dissent, and no value on human life – other than the “leaders”, of course. It’s easily readable in their propaganda, and demonstrated without a doubt in their actions.

    This is for the comments below, Thomas Jefferson was a deist. He believed in a God, but that God didn’t interfere with His creation. Jefferson even rewrote sections of the Bible that he “didn’t like”.

    I reckon Mike Huckabee has it exactly right though, people don’t seem to care about anyone but themselves anymore.

    Many were smart enough to question religion… not being religious is the Bill Maher(aka bullshit) way of saying it. Thomas Jefferson said many things that insinuated he didn’t believe in God, but he also said many things that insinuated he believed in God… basically, he questioned the entire theory and practice.

    Jefferson and Adams are the two founding fathers people always point to in order to make an argument… the truth is that the “founding fathers” all had some different thoughts.

    No, there isn’t a religious test for public office. An atheist could run for public office today. The voters and media nearly certainly wouldn’t go for it, but they can run for public office. No law is stopping them.
    Try to educate myself? I have read biographies of the founders, you haven’t posted any new information, you’ve just told me to “educate myself”. If you reckon the Founders weren’t religious, please post evidence and don’t just act like you’re on some high horse.

    I know atheists who attend church.

    Nearly all politicians attend church, because there really is a religious test for public office, contrary to the Constitution.

    Read biographies of the Founders and try to educate yourself.
