The only thing on her mind is a Pro-African centrist attitude to everything with and for this country. She could care less.
Whites vote for Obama but never will they vote for a white person, after all the Clintons did for them back in the 90′s with all the pro-affirmitive action programs and such.
She is not fit to be first lady and I personally think is a disgrace to this country for what she said.
She’s just a Black women trapped in this white world. Must be tough. I wouldn’t be proud of millions of my people on welfare and clogging the justice system either.
I give up. Young people have proven here that they’re nothing but monkeys with less hair. You have never developed the slightest sense of logic and follow the most simple ideas out to the most inane conclusions. I knew that people of your parents generation sat too close to their color televisions, and what they said would happen because of it… did. I’m frankly surprised that you didn’t bring up Hitler.
She said that she is “…really proud of her country for the first time in her life.” So, since this her FIRST time, I would guess she was not proud of those brave police and firefighters that died at 911 and who were proud to be Americans.
I gather you refer to the edited quote from the Boston Globe.
Here’s what the campaign responded with:
“Of course Michelle is proud of her country, which is why she and Barack talk constantly about how their story wouldn’t be possible in any other nation on Earth. What she meant is that she’s really proud at this moment because for the first time in a long time, thousands of Americans who’ve never participated in politics before are coming out in record numbers to build a grassroots movement for change.”
I think we were proud of humanity that day and scared of it all at the same time. Michelle Obama said something that just came out wrong…that happens to everyone. Please do not bring up 9/11 for something as petty as this. Deep wounds are still healing.
This is a prefect example of Liberals saying what they think but in most cases would never say out load because normal people like you would get mad as h*ll and not vote for them if they told the people how they really feel. I agree with you, the way this country came together after 9/11 was something to be very proud of.
Thank you ,I was too very proud of Americans, although my heart was broken for our loss. Have you ever noticed give people a little fame and their true colors really show. Don’t know about the rest of America,But the Obama’s can move in the white house tomorrow. But he will never be my president, or will she ever be my first lady. I may have to live in denial ,But I can and will do that. I did it through the Clinton years and never once did I ever call Clinton, President .So .it no skin off my nose { personally }who gets it. But I fear for America over who get it;s. .The young couple’s who are struggling now, just to make it.no telling what they face. they are already have more on them than they can do.. God help them.
That’s not what her comment was about and most people who have attacked her on this know it.
The comment was about our standing in the world today and how the current administration has brought our country down in the eyes of the rest of the planet.
What those brave people did on 9/11 had absolutely nothing to do with politics and everything to do with courage and a desire to help their fellow man. They didn’t rush in there to help because they were Americans, they did it because that’s what brave people do in an emergency, try to help.
True, our nation was briefly unified in our response to the tragedy on 9/11. Surely there is great reason to be proud of the heroes of that day. But can we really say we’re proud of what followed? The world stood with us then, but not any more.
Our nation failed to make the most of that rare opportunity. Instead, the leaders of our government squandered that goodwill to promote a cynical politics that divided our country, pushed us into an ill-conceived war and damaged our reputation throughout the world.
The Obama candidacy hasn’t changed that–yet. But it could be the trigger that awakens our great nation and leads us to demand that our government stand up for our ideals. If this candidate for president can inspire a majority of Americans to lead the world by example, rather than by bullying, fear and divisiveness, then we have good reason to be really proud.
I’m sure she is. She said this is the first time she is “really proud” vs. just “proud”. She said the “entire country” is hungry for new politics and is willing to make that change. I’m sure she’s proud of those individual heros of 9/11. If you want to see what she really said here it is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znun3cP3aoA
That’s not AMERICA. That’s SOME of the people in it. Other parts of America still sucked. Like Liberal-haters, to name one.
Clearly she was not.
The only thing on her mind is a Pro-African centrist attitude to everything with and for this country. She could care less.

She’s really proud now again to see how silly some people are. Make this a real drama, I don’t even see the big deal.
Did she comment on 9/11?

Well, her comment about being proud was nothing more than a political stunt. So if you ask her, she’ll say “yes” because it’s politically expedient.
I guess she lacked empathy for the victims and the rescuers. I hope Obama doesn’t listen to his wife most of the time…
Why would SHE be proud of what THEY did
I admired them; they should be proud of themselves
God this smear attempt is so idiotic
She hated the rescue effort… but she supported the policemen and firemen.
she wasn’t talking about ppl who get paid to serve and protect
I’m sure u and ur cohorts were quite proud when James Byrd was dragged to his death
I haven’t heard anyone say other wise…still waiting
just like a sheep to use 9/11 to justify EVERYTHING and demonize anyone they dislike
She said that she is “…really proud of her country for the first time in her life.” So, since this her FIRST time, I would guess she was not proud of those brave police and firefighters that died at 911 and who were proud to be Americans.
you are a tool of the GOP machine.
I was proud as well !! But I don’t know about Michelle Obama !!
I haven’t heard her comment on the firefigters and policemen. What did she say?

that is not the entirety of america; it is a few choice individual heroes.
and barack is running for president not michelle

Michelle Obama said “really proud” vs. just “proud”. What you’re hearing is her words edited from FAUX news.
UTube Michelle + Obama + really for the edited and non edited versions of her statement.
Yes, FAUX news is sleazy
