Was a 2nd grader correct to tell Michelle Obama: “Let’s finish what we started in Iraq” ?
According to Reuters:
Aug. 7 – Michelle, the wife of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, visits a classroom in Norfolk, Virginia and gets foreign policy advice on Iraq from a young boy.

Well, she asked the question and didn’t get the answer she was looking for. Serves her right!
he was probably just saying what his dad told him to say
He was close. The issue at hand is that we can’t finish what we started in Iraq. The Iraqi government has to finish it, and I hope they do so soon, but they don’t have the same concept of time that the Western world has.
The kid has a major point.
Yes a 2 in one smack down! teachers and obama! Don’t you just love it when lib teachers try to poison young American minds, and ultimately get the smack down! obama should have known better than to bring that lib tripe to Norfolk Va….strong military / patriotic American presence there! Try that crap in SF
It’ll be funny when Obama flip-flops because of this.
Probably because the kid is smarter than she is.
That 2nd Grader would be correct by Senator John McCain’s standard of being in Iraq for another 100 years. Poor thing doesn’t know propaganda yet, give them time to get into college. Oh no they’ll be drafted by then.
There was nothing wrong with the child saying that. However, I hope you’re not insinuating that presidential candidates should determine foreign policy based on the advice of 2nd graders.
We started a war that should have never happened in Iraq. The path that Obama wants to take in Iraq is a phased withdraw of troops at 1 or 2 brigades per month. Obama wants to correct the mistake immediately, not keep going down the path of no where to “finish it”.
The boy was just parroting a question from his parents, so I don’t think he was correct, nor was he wrong in asking that. Cute kids anyways.
That 2nd grader powned that America hating witch with a b!
Out of the mouths of babes, huh?Maybe Obama just found his Foreign Policy advisor in the off-chance he somehow becomes “Commander-in-Chief”.
