Michelle Obama wears designer dresses that aren’t yet available to the public. What gives?
OK, I јυѕt read another report аbουt hοw fashionable Michelle Obama іѕ. Shе's аn attrative woman, аnd thе perks οf office аrе assumed. Bυt still … isn't thіѕ another example οf thе media double standard? Thеу skewer Sarah Palin's wardrobe аnd fawn over Michelle's style! And I thουght thе Obama's wеrе fοr thе common people. Whаt thе heck!
Sarah Palin was not skewered over her "wardrobe." She was skewered over using money which was allocated to buy clothing for HERSELF, to buy clothing for HER CHILDREN. That money was privately donated and encumbered with a specific purpose, which she chose to ignore. Then she took the clothes back to Alaska with her, when she claimed that they belonged to the GOP and not herself.
And the Obamas (no apostrophe) can be for the common people and still have enough respect for their own position in this country and what it means when they make public appearances so that they don't dress in jeans and T-shirts.
You just let me know when you're willing to be rational, okay?
She's the first lady. That's nothing new. Did you complain about it before? I doubt it. People complained that Palin was a gold digging fraud who lied about the clothing. We eventually found out she and her family were soaking the GOP for every dime they could get by way of shopping at luxury stores. All while Palin claimed she didn't need that stuff and didn't know anything about it.

Sarah Palin used campaign funds for her dresses, that is where the issue came from. Remember the whole 'we're going to donate them to charity' after the campaign was over to satisfy campaign laws?
It had nothing to do wtih the types of clothes she wore.
So what. This is too stupid. I'm a regular everyday person and have designer pieces in my wardrobe. She is the 1st lady. What type of image would you like her to present?
