Was Michelle Bachmann’s claim that the HPV vaccine causes mental retardation a “Christian fact”?
I coined thіѕ term a few years ago, although I аm probably nοt thе first person tο υѕе іt, called “Christian facts”; іt’s whеn Christians believe things thаt аrе іn stark contrast tο whаt аll experts аnd people knowledgeable аbουt thе topic ѕау.
I imagine, usually, thаt God hаѕ probably revealed tο thеm ѕοmе information thаt requires faith іn Jesus Christ tο see.
Fοr example, “Thе HPV vaccine causes mental retardation” іѕ аn example οf a Christian fact. Thеrе іѕ nοt a single case study οf іt еνеrу happening аnd аll experts ѕау thаt іt’s nοt rіght. Bυt Michelle Bachmann mυѕt hаνе gotten ѕοmе secret information frοm God himself, bесаυѕе ѕhе KNOWS thаt thе HPV vaccine causes mental retardation.
Another Christian fact thаt I hear οftеn іѕ “Charles Darwin recanted hіѕ theory οf evolution οn hіѕ deathbed”, even though AnswersInGenesis ѕауѕ thіѕ іѕ nοt rіght Christians still believe іt. I suspect іt’s another one οf those things whеrе уου need faith іn Christ tο know tο bе rіght.
Mental retardation is a Christian fact (of life).
Christian Fact: If you do not repent and accept Jesus’ free gift of salvation…
You will be going to spend all eternity dancing with the Devil in HELL…
You coined a bias term that in reality can apply to alot of morons, not just christians.
She’s also white, is it a “white fact”?
She’s also female, is it a “female fact”?
She’s also under 6′, is it an “under 6′ fact”?
No. Vaccines cause all kinds of things, none of which are related to Jesus Christ.
Facts are flexible to Christians. They treat facts like they treat their dogma – pick and choose.

For the most part, it is absolutely, positively NOT Christians who spread the thought that vaccines cause autism. If you have any evidence that the primary driving force behind the spreading thought that vaccines cause retardation or autism, I’d like to see it. I’m sure you can find an example here or there of someone who claims to be a Christian parroting the thought, but can you prove that the thought ORIGINATED with Christians, or that Christian parrot it more than any other group? I seriously doubt that you can.
In addition, the Darwin recantation tale is an urban legend, or sorts, which is repeated by those who are and are not Christians. And, to be honest, it isn’t STRICTLY an urban legend. The tale was started by a woman who claimed to have heard this recantation herself. Admittedly, she was the ONLY one to make this claim, and even she claims that Darwin recanted to her and her alone in private.

Now, in all likelihood, this woman’s tale was completely fake. So Christians today are trying very hard to clear up this misunderstanding which was caused by someone who CLAIMED to be one of ours. I say “claimed” because if she made up the whole tale, then she could not really have been one of ours.
That would have to be a no there bink…Of course there do happen to be crackpots on both sides of the coin but hey it’s not as much fun to point at the burnout high school dropouts that don’t believe in God and that like to sit on this forum and poke fun at those who happen to stand for something. all the while not having a clue in the world about a stinking thing that they happen to be talking about… Oh did I say that… I hope I didn’t hurt anyone’s feelings… After all Atheists are just so darn sensitive. By the way it is right that Darwin did not recant his beliefs, but he did have reservation about his theory for most of his life because of the problems within the theory itself. He complained about these problems on several occasions to Sir Huxley in letter that he wrote to him.
No. She heard it from a woman she met while on the campaign trail. Regular, ancient ignorance and credulity this time. If those two traits weren’t so common, it wouldn’t have been such a huge deal.
